Silver Cove is a family oriented company dedicated to every aspect of the gem and mineral business. Opened as a hobby in 2004 with a budget of just $ 900 by owners Chris and Melissa Robak, they took the company professional in 2007.

Their Lacombe storefront was opened in the spring of 2009, expanded in 2011 and again in 2013. Gemstones, Minerals, Fossils, Crystals, Lapidary Supplies, Jewelry, and Metaphysical Supplies are all available at the is beautiful 4000 square foot store.

The staff and owners at Silver Cove are proud to carry one of the largest selections in Western Canada and love sharing their passion for minerals with everyone they meet.

Silver Cove is one of the few companies in the world that works with both the lapidary (stone cutting and polishing) as well as the metaphysical (energy) side of the gemstone industry. It is one of the few companies where you can find Citrine for attracting wealth, or join them on a rock hunt somewhere in Central Alberta!

Silver Cove also has a storefront in Red Deer, and operates at mobile trade shows throughout Western Canada, coming directly to their customers at all kinds of fun events!

History

Established in 2009.

Silver Cove went professional in 2007, and opened their first storefront in the spring of 2009. Their Lacombe location originally began as a 960 square foot store inside the Lacombe Center Mall.

In 2011, they moved their storefront a few doors down in the mall, into a beautiful 2000 square foot location. They quickly filled the space they had, and needed to expand again in 2013. Today, Silver Cove has a wonderful, 4000 square foot location inside the Lacombe Mall, filled with every aspect of the mineral kingdom!

Meet the Business Owner

Melissa and Chris R.

Business Owner

Melissa, along with her husband Chris, are the owners of Silver Cove.

Melissa works on many aspects of the business including sales, marketing, promotions, and display within the company. She also spearheads Silver Cove’s online presence. You will often find Melissa working in the office on paperwork, or at one of their mobile events around Western Canada.

Chris is the passion behind Silver Cove. He loves rock hunting, cutting and polishing, taking school groups and the public out on rock expeditions, identifying some of the amazing stones people has found, and looking for ‘treasure’ in every place he visits around the world!
