Sally and her family opened the doors of Sally’s Roti Shop September 2nd 2014. Sally with the help of her husband were finally perusing their dream of having their very own roti shop similar to those in their home country of Trinidad. Sally has always been passionate about cooking, and loves how food brings friends and family together.

So. Friggen. Good. The runny curry is delicious and has a light kick to it, with beautifully seasoned potatoes. The roti is wrapped in the most delicious layer of heaven I’ve ever eaten.
The only thing I would change is the chicken chunks. Would be much better distributed if it were torn into slivers instead of large chunks.

Meal was so delicious! Had the doubles and the curry squash and curry chickpea plate. Sooooo good! Got extra roti and spicy chutney. The rice and potatoes on the side were perfect. Super flavorful! awesome affordable dinner. Will be going back to try the other vegetarian options.

Totally underrated in Kingston, prbly because of the distance and hidden location. The owners are incredibly helpful and sweet! Really tastes like authentic Caribbean food. I’ve had the lamb roti a few times and the chicken once, will try the goat next time as I’ve heard it’s good too :)
It’s filling, tastes great and decently priced!
Would have to try more of the menu to give it 5 stars :3

Great food, questionable service.
Please wrap properly so customers don’t get burned and messy reaching into the bag, and mark different types of wrap. Luckily my girlfriend liked my lamb, but I wasn’t feeling goat myself. Also napkins. Come on guys.

This is the most delicious roti I’ve ever had (and I come from Scarborough where there is lots of roti). As other reviewers have said, it’s so fresh and the ingredients are top quality. I just finished having the chicken roti (it is boneless chicken breast) and it was so yummy that I wish it was already tomorrow, so that I could have it again. Friendly service as well. Thank you Sally’s roti!

Cheap and in big portions. Very spicy and hot to little ones. The restaurant was small but clean and cozy. Music was themed to the Caribbean and the waiters were nice and friendly. The curry plates were delicious and a mouthful of spiced flavor. The roti was soft and tender. Truly high quality and delicious. Would go as often as I could and is now one of my top picks of Kingston. On a quiet street and very low noise level!

I lived in the Caribbean for 3 years and let me tell you, this place is legit. I never thought I would see Trinidadian doubles again in my life, and here they are, magically popping up somewhere so desolate as Kingston, Ontario. At $ 1.50 a pop, it’s a steal. The rotis are so nice and the roti bread itself is perfect. Ingredients are better quality than what I had in the Caribbean. Thank you for existing, Sally. You made a chiney gyal happy. :)

great food and great prices. I always judge Caribbean places on how well there goat is done;it is wonderful here. Very fast and friendly service, eat in or take out. I have brought several current and previous Real Estate clients here and all of them have become regulars. My only complaint would be as more people discover the place and it becomes more popular it becomes difficult to find seating.

Awesome food. I had the chicken roti and the shrimp roti. Well worth the price. The portions was just right. The curry was tasty and not too spicy. Lots of fillings as well. Well worth a try.

All though Caribbean food originates in warm climates, there is nothing so satisfying as a piping hot double and goat roti on a –9 deg Celsius day, especially when it comes from Sally’s. I would eat their stuff on sweltering +40 day too!

Just tried this place today, I’ve had roti before and am a huge fan of this place. Got the chicken roti, the meat: potato ratio was pretty awesome at about 1:1 and the wrap and sauce was super flavourful. The chicken/​potato was also awesomely tender and tasty. The prices are also awesome so will be coming here a ton in the future.
