Went to the sale again for prime rib. Had called two days in advance and asked Geoff to pick out a good marbled whole prime rib roast… he out did it. It was beautifully marbled, beyond our expectations — thank you, Geoff! :)

A solid 3 ½ stars IMHO. They’ve opened two new Sobeys in our neighbourhood, over and above the first big one that’s a few years old. Beware their tricky advertising, though: the specials are run at the Franchises, and not necessarily at the Corporate store.
I love their cake section — they run these time sensitive specials, such as the Titanic Cake in April of 2012 to celebrate (?!) 100 years since the sinking of the original. It would have sank anyone who ate this cake as it was HUGE! Oh, and it was also $ 200.00 but who’s counting calories or dollars for this beauty of a cake!
This week (March 20, 2013), they have Kicking Horse’s Kick Ass coffee on sale for $ 11.99 a pound; this is my current favourite coffee to drink at home.
Overall, I love this store and will be back again and again.
