Ezzzy Moving

DONT EVER USE… Worst service… I injured back and wasn’t able to lift anything heavy as I was awaiting surgery, so I figured I’d pay Jason for a few hours to move some heavy stuff to my new house.
Well, in the short time that his crew was there FYI also 2 hours late the stats are;
Causalitys of Ezzzy moving gong show are:
–Several walls and corners of the house I moved out of.
–Siding of the house I moved out of??? Wtf I know like how?..
–2 out of the 3 dressers.
–couch and love seat. (leather).
–of course the new walls and corners of my new house I just built.
I’m sure there was more that I missed.
The next morning I called Jason to inform him of some less than mediocre work from his prison look alike crew, he wanted to inspect the damage so we arranged a time. The best was Jason showed up to my house stone, high, and smelling like weed me (law enforcement) still in uniform calling him on this. Well he quickly scurried away and took 3 – 4 weeks to fix my furniture.
This was 2 years ago that I hired them, but I’m still finding stuff that I know they damaged that’s why the review.

Nope, nope, nope. Wouldn’t recommend. Not once, not ever.
While the moving guys were cool and nice enough, the number of clusterfucks in this move to the South Okanagan was unreal.
First, they used a 5-​ton truck to move a one-​bedroom apartment. When the boyfriend and I moved me from Calgary to Kamloops last November, we fit everything in a 6×12 U-​Haul trailer. (Circumstances prevented us from handling this move ourselves.)
So they sent a truck that’s better used for a three-​bedroom house. None of my possessions were really secure, as it turns out. The movers arrived at my new place well after I did and explained that they blew a tire on the 97C. The truck also left a huge oil stain in my new landlord’s driveway. Oh … and the screen on my TV is cracked.
When I spoke to AJ, the co-​owner, he explained the TV would be either repaired or replaced. Enough research revealed that plasma TVs are commonly unfixable when the screen is cracked. So I set my expectations accordingly. I learned from the moving company two days later that was the case and it would be replaced.
When I tried to receive a plan for the replacement, my email inbox fell silent. I attempted to contact the other owner, Jason, three times to get an answer. Now, a 42-​inch TV may not be a big deal to some people but it was my only TV. Could I have gone out and replaced it myself immediately? Sure could, but that’s hardly the point, right?
I received a recommendation from a friend who has experience with moving companies. Stop payment on the cheque. (Yeah, they still use cheques.) I did and then sent Jason a note saying as much, and I would replace the TV myself then send him a cheque for the difference.
Lo and behold, I received a response inside 10 minutes of hitting send. Jason had a bunch of excuses about being on a move in Vancouver (don’t you have a smartphone, there, guy?). He was planning on sending me an email transfer for $ 400.
$ 400? I laughed. I *was* able to find a 42-​inch LG plasma at Best Buy for $ 388. But this is B.C. and there are fun things like taxes and eco fees. The $ 388 price tag meant $ 462 out the door. So it was good I took things into my own hands, otherwise I would have been out $ 62 for a TV I didn’t break.
Oh and after the moving guys left and I started to unpack my stuff, I realized that several of my Tupperware bins (which I use to pack everything) were cracked in places or altogether broken. One was shattered on the side and it’s just pure dumb luck that the items inside weren’t affected.
So … no. If you think going cheap with your movers is a good idea, stop and take another look.
I’m sure next time I’ll just figure out how to do it myself anyway.
