Hammonds Plains Service Centre

The potholes in the HRM aren’t just bad right now, they’re so ubiquitous and with Grand Canyon-​like dimensions that the entire region looks like it was hit by an apocalyptic earthquake.
I’m half expecting Godzilla to rear his head up the Bedford basin any minute now… but instead of going on a rampage, it would probably just take pity on us when it sees that our «roads» resemble those of a war-​torn tropical banana republic. but with much worse weather of course.
Anyhow, I digress… So if you haven’t figured it out yet, I hit a pothole so hard, the airbags almost deployed. My one wheel in particular had its rim bent and you could hear air hissing out of it, no matter how much air was pumped in.
First thing this morning I called up the fine folks at the HPSC for the first time and after some discourse, they were nice enough to fit me in the schedule for today.
The ladies working there were very friendly. I waited about a half hour in their spotless but very dated waiting room (seriously 1972 called, they want their waiting room back).
There was coffee on, the washrooms were spotless and there were reading materials.
It was nice to look up on the walls and see plaques up commemorating quite a few people who had worked there 30+ years. I think it says a lot about a company when they retain their employees for such a long time. You don’t keep people around that long if you don’t have any integrity.
So after about 30 minutes, my car came out with its wheel all banged back into shape and no more air leaking out.
I will without a doubt be supporting this establishment in the future. they know what they’re doing, they’re friendly about it and they’re done in a jiffy.

Ladies on desk are friendly.
Only complaint is the 39,95 oil change is actually 50 bucks including fees etc.

Customer service, mechanic quality, and close to home. The three things that have sold me on this Service centre.
This is the place my car, and my wifes goes, for just about everything.
From Oil changes, to brakes, to tires, to whatever.
The ladies at the counter are very helpful, will try to work with my schedule as best they can, and are always smiling.
The mechanics out back, have always done quality work, which i have yet to hear a complaint about from anyone I know who uses their service!
If you live in the area, or close enough, this is the best place to get your autmotive service and repairs done.
