My family and I love coming to Zum Linzer. My first visit was not a good one though, and here’s why. You MUST have a reservation to eat at Zum Linzer. They are so busy and popular that if you try and just walk in, you are going to walkout hungry. The restaurant is small, and everything is prepared fresh. On our first visit every table was full and there was no waiting list, they were full up for the evening. Avoid the disappointment and call for a reservation. When you order a schnitzel you can hear it being pounded out ever so subtly in the kitchen. It’s being pounded out fresh and the taste reflects that. Make sure you call ahead, and you’ll be pleased with your food. You might expect a smaller restaurant that requires reservations just to eat to be more expensive than it is. The menu is very reasonably priced however and the portions are very generous. We’ve eaten there at least five times, and I’m looking forward to my sixth visit!

STAYAWAY. RUDE, COLD, CREEPY. I walked in this evening with my father and younger sisters. He had never tried German food and we were excited to have a nice dinner. As soon as we walked in everyone turned and stared at us like they didn’t want us there. After a few minutes of standing there awkwardly they finally invited is to sit. We waited and after several minutes of being ignored I finally asked for a menu. They waiter made us wait more. He was creepy, mean and didn’t even make eye contact with us. The vibe was very unfriendly and weird. We got up and left. Don’t go here. The staff is not happy working there and it is very apparent.

Outstanding dinner with family for my birthday. The restaurant is small so reservations are essential. The décor is dated but the food more than makes up for it. Portion sizes are large so come hungry. Had a salad along with the steak Madagascar which was amazing. The steak was cooked just to my liking and the pepper sauce was delightful but not too spicy. The potatoes were fried with onions and delicious. A nice selection of beers are available although the wine list is a tad pedestrian. Overall a very good restaurant with reasonable price and generous portions. While the ambiance is somewhat underwhelming, the meal will bring me back again and again!

Specials are always good, the place is great for a home cooked meal and a pint. This place is an oasis of sorts. Nice authentic décor. One of my faves.

Fantastic lunch here! Had the potato soup that was on special, we all loved it but the kids each ate a whole bowl. Had the sausage platter and schnitzel with mushroom sauce, both were delicious. Great price too

DONOTIGNORETHEWARNINGINROB’S REVIEW!!! I ordered a soup and salad, and a small sausage platter. The soup was fairly large, followed by a very large salad. Then came my sausage platter. I wasn’t expecting there to be two large sausages, potato salad AND a half tub of sauerkraut. I’d be surprised if I finished 1⁄3 of the food that came my way. And it was way less than $ 20 too

Fantastic german restaurant with probably 10 tables… very personal and quaint. Excellent food… with large portions. Would recommend to anyone. Prices are VERY reasonable for what you get! Make sure to have reservations in advance here.
