I was pretty unimpressed with this place. I walked in about 7pm on a weekday night and there were only 2 other people there. A few more walked in as I was eating. It took the waitress over 5 minutes to come get my order(when I was one of 3 people there — she was busy talking to a coworker). The Beef Sashimi was really the only thing I liked. The Seafood Soup had a VERY fishy smell/taste to it. Sure, that sounds stupid, but it was that smell/flavor that kept me from eating much of it. I got the sashimi combo, and I guess I didn’t read very well as I was hugely disappointed to find crab stick on it. How crab stick qualifies as sashimi I’ll never know. The sashimi was just ‘ok’. I guess they do an all you can eat thing, and there was a lot on the menu, but I just wasn’t impressed enough with what I had to order anything else. Doubtful I’d ever be back here.

Delicious, great value for money, with attentive service. Staff were great at handling an allergy, too. The veggie tempura was fresh and crispy and the rolls we had were good(maki combo C). Ordered off the menu rather than all you can eat this time and felt like we got a very good deal. Will definitely be coming back!

Really good service. Terrible food! Nothing had flavour. The only good items were the dynamite roll and the grilled muscles. Those two items were amazing but everything else was just mediocre. We actually had to send the eggplant back because it was undercooked and the waitress agreed that she knew it wasn’t good. Most of it tasted like sushi I could get out of fortinos. Not impressed at all. I will definitely not be returning. I’ll stick to Spring Sushi

The servers were very friendly. We came with a group of 14, and they were very accommodating. The restaurant was not very busy, but the service was much slower than I am used to at all-you-can-eat. The first round of salmon sashimi they brought out was still partially frozen. Apart from that, most of the food was delicious.

I went for lunch today to try the new all you can eat sushi place, Tatemono. Greeted immediately by a pleasant staff who showed us to our table. Turns out he was also our waiter and server throughout the entire meal, did a great job on all fronts(thanks Andy!) The food was delicious. Besides the typical offerings at AYCE Japanese/Sushi restaurants, this was the first I’ve visited that offers Sashimi on its lunch menu(usually there is sushi but not Sashimi on lunch menus, and at 15.99 with a 10% grand opening discount this was a really good deal). This place does Japanese mixed with some Thai food items; pad Thai, spicy basil beef, Coconut shrimp, etc. All of it well prepared and presented. Clean and nicely decorated dining room, all the staff really seemed to care and were very kind, cheerful and attentive from beginning to end. I’m sure it helped that my visit was on a quieter Monday lunch hour but I really doubt that a few more full tables would’ve slowed them down. Highly recommend, will give neighbouring Sapporo(also Japanese/Thai) some strong competition. I will be back soon.
