Shades of Home specializes in Interior Design and Décor. Our clients come to us for window treatments, both for function (Blinds, Shades and California Shutters) but also for Custom Drapery and other soft furnishing items. We have interior designers on staff mostly to ensure our clients get the appropriate advice along with the lowest prices for Hunter Douglas, Levolor as well as other brand names and off-​label.

We make sure our clients get the best value and quality. If the quality, function, warranty are the same then we let our clients decide and they always choose value.

History

Established in 1986.

Waterdown is our newest location. Having serviced the Hamilton, Ancaster, Dundas and Waterdown areas for over 20 years out of our Oakville location, we decided it was time to invest in the communities we do business in. With over 2,000 square feet and lots of parking we are better able to service our clients. As well, it is now far more convenient for our clients to see the latest in window treatments and look through thousands of fabrics, blinds, shades and colours.

Hilary B.

Manager

A professional Interior Decorator since 2000. Graduated from Sheridan College in Oakville with an Interior Decorating Certificate. Operated HB Designs specializing in drapery design and fabrication and interior decorating. Received certification in ReDesign and Staging for real estate in 2009. Utilizing skills, passion and experience in Interior Decorating to help clients redecorate their homes.

Hilary is currently working at Shades of Home as an Interior Design and Drapery Specialist. Responsibilities include providing a shop at home service for clients and sales of custom drapery, blinds, shades and shutters.
