Bare Wax Bar

LOVE this place! I just started school at McMaster and was looking for a place to get Brazilian waxes. I tried looking on Unilocal,but it seemed like most salons had few reviews (other than the 10 spot, which is a chain in Ontario). Luckily, I drove past this wax bar one day, and decided to set up an appointment. It’s super easy to book an appointment online, and they have 6 estheticians who work there part-​time. I believe they’re open 6 days a week, 9am-​7pm Monday to Friday, and 10am-​6pm on Saturdays.
The wax bar is chicly decorated, and has a relaxing, welcoming atmosphere. I love the decorations and colour scheme, and the lotions that they have to sample at the front of the store. The rooms are clean, warm and beautifully decorated just like the front desk area.
The Brazilian wax itself is professionally done, and as painless as something like this can be. The estheticians are so warm and friendly, and make sure you feel comfortable throughout the whole service. They have 2 different types of waxes, one that requires a strip of paper to pull off, and a hard wax that’s used in more sensitive areas. They also use a calming tea tree oil lotion to reduce inflammation in waxed areas. The whole process takes about 15 – 30 min depending on the person.
In terms of price, Bare Wax Bar is definitely on the cheaper end! It’s $ 43 for a full Brazilian wax, and $ 40 for the «bare a little less.» It’s also 10% off Monday-​Thursday from 1pm-​3pm on all services.
Overall, I will definitely be back! Love the décor, ambiance and service, would highly recommend this place to anyone who’s looking for a great wax bar!
