Friday night was quite empty and only one other table with 3 ladies was in the restaurant. It took 20 minutes for our waiter to come ask for drinks and by that time we knew our order. The food was great and took a reasonable amount of time. As we were eating and almost finish with our food our waiter sits at the bar and starts eating, took him 20 minutes to even look over at us once to see if we were done. The pizza was great but nothing out of this world, probably the worst service I’ve ever had, especially for a place that was empty.

Food was very good and the server was wonderful. But they were busier than expected so we had to be patient as they happened to be understaffed this evening. I recommend this restaurant.

A new and improved menu draws a large crowd on a beautiful Friday evening. Local politicians on the patio, NHL lovers in the bar and everyone else in the dinning room. The atmosphere hasn’t changed but to complement the new menu, more vibrant music is played for the dinning room guest and live local bands out side for patio guests. This new menu has a bit of old Portuguese culture and cuisine mixed in with the Canadian diversity. A nice mix of sandwiches, appetizers, mains, and even mixed it up with pizzas. To complete this, more wines have been added to the wine list draw a wider diversity or dinners. Service has also improved and the wait staff are quick to get to you. Helpful and give quality recommendations with the smile and attitude as always. If your tired of a franchise, this is a must to consider.

For Hamilton this place is alright. The food was a 7⁄10 the speed of service was a 9 and free parking next door. I wouldn’t rush back, bit if friends wanted to go, I wouldn’t be opposed.

Great cool place in old school part of town that is definitely getting re-energized. Lots of neat energy in that area. Have been there many times and never disappointed. Great food quality with solid service in a trendy atmosphere. Have been for both lunch with co-workers and at night with family and friends. This showcases the positive changes and youthful energy of James Street – lunch, dinner or just drinks you won’t be disappointed.

Our server was great… In General, the food is way over priced and it doesn’t taste good at all. I ordered a caesar salad, and I must say it was the blandest salad i’ve had in a while, secondly, I think the bacon bits were from a bottle, for $ 10 I expect perfection. Then I ordered the chicken supreme at $ 22… So the potatoes were slightly cold and not mashed fresh, 2ndly… DONOTPUTBBQSAUCE on chicken wrapped in prosciutto!!! this dish was an epic failure. The drinks were ok, but I expect more than just a lemon as a garnish! I would avoid this restaurant!!!

Was concerned about his place — neighborhood a little sketchy and reviews were either excellent or awful. Took a chance and stopped in for a light meal and ordered tapas to share. Wow — excellent. Skipped the main course and went straight to dessert. Again, very impressive. Service was good as well but it was early before dinner so no volume of customers to speak of.
