This was possibly the worst experience I have ever experienced with a business I wish I could give 0 stars. My fiancée went to get alterations done to her wedding dress which she was quoted a price of $ 80 from the bridal shop. when she went to Vassos the lady was very rude and discriminated against my fiancé due to her not being from this country. she tried to get her to pay $ 190 to do the simple alterations. while for more alterations she was charging canadians $ 120. She clearly is racist and also must try and charge non canadians outrageous prices because they got referred from the bridal shop and she thinks she can exploit them. I will warn all my friends and family about this crooked business and I hope anyone else who is referred to her does their research before going to this horrid business.

I took two dresses to Vasso’s and the only thing that needed to be done to them was strap alterations. Both of my dresses were not done properly. In one of the bridesmaids dresses one of the strap kept falling down like it wasn’t even altered and the other dress the halter top was still too loose and falling down.
When I picked them up I didn’t realize these issues because wasn’t walking around a lot when I tried them on so it is difficult to judge. However, during the wedding day it was a noticeable difference. The halter top had to be safety pinned to the proper size. As both weddings were 4 hours away it wasn’t something I could bring back to get fixed. $ 40 in alterations that I will probably have to get again. She came highly recommended but from my experience I will not be going back.

Recently picked up a bridesmaid dress that had both sides altered, tried on the dress while there and it fit fine. Brought it home on Friday, and tried it on for a friend on Saturday and they noticed a dark spot on the front of the dress. When I called to ask her about it, she was incredibly rude to me and told me that it was a waste of my time to be calling her about this as it was no way her fault that it now had this mark.
Today I brought my dress to a cleaners, where I was told that it looks that it is likely a sewing machine oil stain and it should easily come out with cleaning.
I am disappointed in the way the situation was handled, I do understand that accidents happen but my alteration has now doubled in price as I need to get a last minute dry cleaning of my dress.

A friend of mine referred me to Vasso’s Tailoring when she heard I needed bridal alterations.
I’m very happy with the work she’s done on my wedding dress. She is very fast and efficient, during both visits I was in and out of there in 15 minutes and she was never running behind on appointments. It was a two week turn around from the first fitting to pick up day.
On drop off she gives you a slip with what it will cost to get the alterations done and note she accepts cash only on pickup. She does not accept debit, credit or check.
Call in advance and set up an appointment, shes fairly flexible and can usually find a time that suits your schedule.
This business is run out her home and is located on Bayview Road in the Clayton Park area. Being located in a residential area there isn’t a dedicated parking lot, so pick the side of the road or snag the driveway for your visit if it’s open.

Vasso is an amazing Greek lady who runs a great tailoring shop in her house. Her prices are very reasonable and her work is outstanding. She also does a lot of alterations on bridal gowns and all types of tailoring. She has many years of experience and is very honest and reliable.
