In 1996, The Suitor opened its doors in the heart of downtown Halifax. Raad Daniel, owner and operator, is a second generation tailor and born craftsman. Before the creation of The Suitor, it became apparent that there was something missing in Halifax. Gentlemen needed a menswear store where they could be fitted by a tailor, not a salesperson. We have dedicated ourselves to upgrading the men of Halifax from the ground up: determining their needs, helping them choose, fitting them, and ultimately delivering the final product — a well-​dressed and confident man, from fitting room to boardroom.

The Suitor offers clothing off the rack, as well as exclusive made-​to-​measure and bespoke programs. We also carry a wide variety of ties and formalwear accessories including but not limited to: cufflinks, tie bars, suspenders and pocket squares. All fittings are done on site by Raad Daniel.

History

Established in 1996.

The Suitor began as a small-​scale tailoring shop in Barrington Place, eventually building to become a leader in Atlantic Canadian menswear fashions and tailoring.

Raad Daniel is the Owner at The Suitor Clothing Company. As a second generation tailor and professional costume designer, Raad understands fit like no one else. Since opening doors at The Suitor, Raad has continued to build a loyal clientele with the help of high quality products, precise tailoring and the utmost in customer service.
