I would probably say it’s a two-star job, but a(hardwood) floor lasts long enough that a mediocre job is mediocre for a long time. Also, a hardwood floor is a showpiece that people pay good money for. A little extra care would be appreciated. Sales: We had Michelle as a salesperson. She seemed knowledgeable and could answer our questions. She also has a good eye for design, and directed us towards some nice choices. I do, however, think that she may have exaggerated the quality of the hardwood flooring that she sold us, but I don’t have a recording of the conversation, so don’t quote me. Installation: What I do have is a accurate visual recording of the awful handiwork of their installers. It’s all over my floor. Any tiny bright points in the sales department just don’t matter when the installation is poor. If you take the crown jewels and run them through a manure spreader, they’re just going to look like crap. Some examples. * Some boards were cut up to three-quarters of an inch from the wall, requiring unsightly quarter-round moulding to cover it up * Existing moulding not removed prior to installation — lazy, lazy, lazy * Notches are easily noticeable at door corners — no coping saw used at all, I think * Over-reliance on top-nailing; no filler applied to top-nailed holes * Visible staples between boards * The worst joins(meeting older floors) that I have ever seen. They are jagged cuts with obvious saw gouges, damage to existing floor with no attempt to repair them, not shimmed or evened at all * They floored up to a door, then did not replace the two boards on the other side of the door — just left them covered in the remnants of the old linoleum, with tacks still poking out! It’s a real joke. The best thing that they did do is that they left about 120 board feet of flooring behind. Now when I get time, I can go around and carefully fix up their crap myself. Taylor was recommended by my contractors, but I really, really should have shopped around. Regrets. I’ve had a few. Or one more, at least.

When I found out that the folks at Taylor were installing the floors in the condo where I’ll be moving, I was curious and stopped by to take a look at their products. Wow! They have a wide variety of floor styles to choose from, ranging from basic carpets, to ceramic tile, to classy hardwoods, to quality laminates that you’d swear were the real deal(LOVE the Armstrong brand laminate!!) There are quality floor options for virtually every price range. If you’re dealing with any of the friendly staff, I highly recommend Michelle– not only is she great to talk to, she’s great at providing interior design ideas(when I move in to my new place, I need to paint a few rooms– Michelle suggested beautiful wall colors that will coordinate with my new floors and countertops. Fab!!) Bottom line: for quality floors and quality service, stop by Taylor Flooring

When you’re shopping for new flooring for your home, not only is quality, pricing and availability important; so is customer service! I will never shop anywhere else other than Taylor Flooring. I went into this store looking for some quotes on carpet. My cat tore up carpet in the home that I was renting and when my lease was up in the home, I had to replace the carpet. I shopped around for weeks looking for the right deal. I didn’t want to invest too much money as it wasn’t my home but at the same time, I wanted to get something equivalent to what she had. I went into the store and was blown away by the wonderful help I received. They helped match carpet almost identical to what was there previously and they also get me a wonderful deal. I ended up finding carpet and including the installation, it was only $ 600 compares to the other quotes of $ 1200+. I was so pleased with the service, quality and price, that I wrote a thank you letter to the owner expressing my satisfaction. I highly recommend this location!
