I live a block from this Sobey’s and it has been pretty good over the 7 years I’ve lived here. In the past 2 years, however, the ‘fresh’ produce has been less than that. I’ve brought home avocado that was black on the inside and yellow cloves of garlic well past there ‘best before’ date as well as wilted parsley and many other varieties of supposedly fresh produce. The store is very inconsistent with the items it stocks; there one week, not seen again for 3. Also, they keep moving things around like the salads leaving you guessing where to search. That’s not helpful to the senior population, of which I’m fast approaching, who shops there. Even their staff couldn’t point me in the right direction when I couldn’t find a certain item. Though it’s farther from me, I’ll be shopping at the Bedford Sobey’s and Pete’s or the Superstore in Bayer’s Lake from now on. I’m tired of throwing money away. Manager’s take note! Not good enough!!!

As far as grocery stores go, Sobeys is indeed«A-OK.» Overall their stores are smaller than the SuperGiantKillerStores, and for that I am grateful. This is the grocery store closest to me so I do end up here frequently. Prices are a bit more than their competitors, but convenience wins out. No LC attached, just a litte wine/beer shop with veeerrry limited selection. I’m not sure why they bother. At least they tend to have lots of cashes open so you don’t often run into long lines, even on the weekends. They have a good selection of deli meats and to-go foods. Overall this is a clean, bright and well-stocked location. Staff are always friendly and efficient. We generally find everything we are looking for here.

It’s been my Sobey’s for almost four years now, and it’s great spot to get groceries. Convenient 24-hour hours for a shift worker.(Did that make any sense?) I tend to frequent at the early hours, and other than a few boxes to work around, it’s the best time to buy groceries. The shelves are always stocked, and usually clean. And even if there is something you are looking for, that isn’t there. someone is nearby to check in the back, or rain checks are available at the front. An open style setup that they have recently renovated to, just adds to the appeal. Many tills, well staffed, and the members of staff are very happy to serve you. Clayton Park Sobey’s is the place to get your groceries.

Ok. I love my sobeys. I know it’s not the biggest, newest, or prettiest, but it has a small familiar feel. The staff are beyond nice and they always have a ton of check outs open, unlike the near by superstore. The produce, deli section is nice and I enjoy their counter service selection. And it’s almost always 24⁄7. Huge plus!

I have gone to this grocery store for many years. It is an old format, always busy, never has enough check outs open and because it is so busy the staples are frequently sold out. Even having said all that I still go because it is close by. A new sobeys opened recently on Larry Uteck that i like much more.

This is not my normal Grocery store and is Much more busy than the stores I frequent, however that being said they always have Cavicchi’s sausages(which are Gluten Free! and delicious!) in stock which keeps me coming back! They do sell them at a number of different locations but I can’t see to find them in stock.

So, ok. I have lived very close to Sobey’s for 1 month now and I find myself there alot. I still agree with everything I said before but some things have grown on me. There food-to-go stations are pretty A-1, a go to spot for when you don’t want to actually cook super, and it’s cheaper than going out. I think the staff are starting to recognize me, and usually treat me pretty good. Also, in the last 2 weeks I have ventured over after 9pm, which has considerably less people shopping than any other time of day I have been there. An extra star, and room to improve.

This is not my go-to Sobeys store as I much prefer the one on Mumford. I prefer Sobeys to Superstore so will shop here if I’m in the area(I don’t find Superstore to provide me all that much of a savings, and Sobeys gives me Airmiles). Anyway… As far as grocery stores go, they’re fine. My one main complaint about this particular location is there is ALWAYS a long wait time at the check outs. If I need to get in and out quickly I don’t go to this store. Yes, there are self checkouts which are great if you only have a few things. There are line ups at every single open cash every time. This store seems to be consistently busy and yet they never seem to have enough cashes open? It makes no sense to me. Throw a few more people on cash to reduce the line ups and get people moving through faster. Generally the service, otherwise, is fine. The store is clean though I do find it is laid out a bit funny. Over all they’re good, they just need to speed up the check out process.

I usually do not go to this Sobeys unless I need to and if I’m in the location already. I find that this store needs a serious face lift. It is not near as nice as the other grocery stores, such as the Sobeys on Mumford Rd or the Superstore in Bayers Lake. They recently put in some ‘self-checkouts’. I really like that because when I’m in a hurry, I can quickly ring in my items. The prices are quite a bit higher at Sobeys than at Superstore. I try to only get my groceries there if there are deals on that pull me in.

This Sobeys location is great when I am in the area. It has a nice deli and produce section. The staff are pretty much the same at all Sobeys in my opinion. I usually do not need to locate one, but when needed they are helpful
