So pushy and rude. I ended up paying a lot more because they were so pushy and wouldn’t listen to what I wanted. I wanted a simple manicure and ended up coming out with an eyebrow wax and gel nails. My eyebrows are sparse as it is and don’t need waxing but she convinced me they did. Never going back there.

Business wouldn’t even respond to my Better Business Bureau complaint! Worst experience of my life! I went here today because my regular nail salon is closed Sunday’s and it’s my 1 year wedding anniversary! I got there at 12 on the dot(when they open) and walked in at the same time as another customer. The mother was the only one there so she started the other girls nails. 5 minutes later the dad showed up and started working on my nails. After 1 hour he still hadn’t applied any polish so I kindly asked him how long it would take because I was in a hurry. He got up right away and rushed to the phone to call his daughter as apparently she does the polish and wasn’t there yet(would have been nice to know at the beginning). So she sits down and I ask her how long it’s going to take as I’ve already been there an hour! She asked what time I got there. I said 12. She said not possible cause she called at 12 and parents weren’t there yet. I said ‘I got here at 12 same time as this other client and your mother was already here’. So she said again ‘but I called at 12.’ Then she told me to go wash my hands… As I did that I heard her ask the other client what time she got there. The client said ‘12’ so I came around the corner and said ’ are you accusing me of lying! I told you 3 times I got here at 12′ she then started yelling at me saying she never said that but she knows her parents weren’t here at 12 and that she can check the camera. I said ’ I’m done with this place I’m leaving’. She said ‘good go I don’t want you here!’ Then she blocked the door and said I can’t leave till I pay! I said ‘pay for what, I have no polish on’ she said you got a manicure’ and I said a manicure includes polish so If you want me to pay you better paint them’ so she points me to sit down and starts saying very rude things to me such as ’ I hope your friends don’t look like you, you are so rude’ then as I was talking to the other client she started starring right at me and wouldn’t look away! The other client even told me she would complain as well as I was being treated very badly! Needless to say I’ll never go back and my nails look like garbage!!!

I found this establishment to be very unprofessional and i don’t appreciate the fact that when i ask a question they discuss it in their language first which i found very rude. They took so long with my nails which made me late for my date, even though i asked first how long it would take and they ended up taking twice as long. Never again!

Went here the other day to get my gel nails filled, and it took two and a half hours — which is absolutely ridiculous — it only takes 40 – 60 mins at every other place I’ve ever been. The lady who did them messed up the first time and had my nails under the UV light for too long, so they wrinkled up and she had to do them over again. Also, when I instructed her as to how I wanted them shaped by showing her a picture of MY nails from the time I had previously gotten them filled elsewhere, she told me it would be ‘an extra $ 5′ because ‘my nails weren’t as wide as the ones in the picture’. I responded that the picture I was showing her was a picture of MYOWN nails I had taken just a few weeks ago, and she responded ‘oh, okay, never mind — no extra charge’. I was trying to be up sold by this lady, very shady. One of the most painfully long experiences I’ve ever had, my nails turned out beautifully but I will never be going back.

Very disappointed. Disorganized and chaotic environment. I had an appointment, but that didn’t seem to matter. Between the three of them they were juggling multiple clients and bouncing between them. It was ridiculous. My mother had her feet done, minus polish, before they even touched mine. Didn’t do a proper scrub/exfoliation, which was needed for both of us. They started my manicure in the pedicure chair — very odd, never had this happen before. After painstakingly growing out my nails so I could have them cut, shaped and French polished, they were filed way too short on one hand(and not shaped at all!) after me saying I was going to have French polish. I was very disappointed. Then, I was swapped to another person who filed my other hand, and these were left longer and also not well shaped. I told her to do the best she could with the polish, but she refused and said I should do a solid color. I was leaving for vacation and has my heart set on French polish, so I told her to do her best. She refused, made me wait another 10 – 15 minutes so mother could do it. In the end, her mother painted these awful, thick white tips on my now too-short nails. All she had to do was paint thinner tips and it would have looked okay. I don’t know what she was thinking! Save yourself the trouble, chaos and stress. Go elsewhere! I was trying to save some $$ and support a local business, but I certainly won’t bother next time. We were in there for nearly 2 and half hours and have two mediocre pedicures and a very poor manicure to show for it.

I went to Saignon for a shellac manicure mainly because it’s close to home and the least expensive in the city. I was pleasantly surprised by the work that they did and how busy of a spot it is! The girl was telling me they were jam packed the night before(a Saturday night!) and some people had to come back today(Sunday) because there wasn’t enough time to help them! The lady did a wonderful job on my nails and it was well worth the price of $ 34.50! I think I’ve found my new nail spot :)

Found my new nail spot! I made an appointment with Saigon nails after hearing great things from a friend and was not disappointed. The staff were friendly and attentive the opposite of what you usually find in a walk in nail salon. The esthetician working on my nails did a great job really took her time and did not take out her personal issues on my cuticles. All in all a great first experience I will be back!

I recently moved to Dartmouth from across the harbour and wanted to get a quick pedicure so I googled ‘pedicures in Dartmouth’ and found Saigon Nails. I popped by and was greeted with smiles and ushered into a massage chair. The husband was working on another client’s shellac nails while the wife did my pedicure. Their daughter was there as well, working and chatting with clients and her parents. I was impressed with how clean the establishment is and how much attention to detail was paid to my nails. The woman ensuring the polish was perfect and that there wasn’t a speck on my skin. It took close to an hour and they ensure your polish is thoroughly dry before you leave. I will be back for sure!

Stopped in today on my way home from work to a mani, without appointment. I was the only one in the place. Until a few weeks ago I didn’t know they were there. Unlike other nail places the service here was quite good. It appears to be run by a husband and wife duo, they were both quite lovely. The spa area itself is small, but is clean and bright. It did take longer than I’m used to for my nails to be done, but in the end it was worth it. If you’re looking for something a little more personal than other mass-production type places give these folks a whirl.
