It’s always wonderful to come across a small, family run local market and while winter is probably not their peak season, you can still find fresh baked goods brought in from Terrance Bay, which is just a hop, skip and a jump down the Prospect Highway from the store. Fruit and vegetables come from Coop Nova Scotia — so you know that as much as possible, the fruits and vegetables are local. The shop has only been open since October(prior to that they focused on garden supplies from pretty stones, gravel, soil and mulch to glorious plants and flowers), I still managed to find some lovely squashes and the onions, potatoes and apples are all tasty. I can’t wait until the real harvest begins this Spring. I know I’ll be stopping by often when I visit my daughter… who is already a big fan.
