Henry’s

Terrible, non existent customer service. Your website was better than the store (which could use a good spring cleaning). Won’t be back. Three employees working, one other customer and we were completely ignored.

Today was my first visit to Henry’s, and it will not be my last! After having an underwhelming experience buying a digital camera last year at a big box store (it was a gift for my parents), I wanted to try another place that would hopefully have more knowledge and patience.
The customer service at Henry’s was fantastic! My husband and I went in looking for a waterproof camera and Marco Gallo greeted us within a few minutes of entering the store. He then showed us all the options available and talked with us about the differences between them and really helped us decide which camera would suit our needs and budget the best. He even let us hold and take photos with the cameras so we could compare the feel and controls of each (you can’t even pick up a camera at most larger stores, they are usually locked onto the counter). Once we decided on our camera Marco showed us a quick «how to» including how to properly maintain a waterproof camera, how to choose a photo setting, how to use the panoramic mode, and how to turn off the GPS to save your battery power.
Fair prices, great selection, fantastic service!

When we lived in Toronto, I couldn’t imagine buying a camera without going to Henry’s for the best advice and the best price in town. So you can imagine how excited I was when they opened up a branch in Bayers Lake.
My camera had seen better days with batteries needing to be recharged every five minutes… okay not quite, but it felt that way. I was heading off to write about Prince Edward Island’s Fall Flavours and a working (I stress — working) camera was necessary.
A large box store had one at, what seemed like a reasonable price, but I stopped in a Henry’s first — not only is their policy to match any competition, they also give a trade in for old cameras.
Add to that the phenomenal service and, well… there’s no reason to ever shop anywhere else. Hooray for Henry’s and thanks for coming to Halifax.
