Awesome shop. Great selection of hard to find brands and purveyor of Dartmouth Clothing company gear. #thinklocal

Thought I’d take a look at an alternative small business to where I usually shop. Was not impressed. Guy behind counter more interested in his laptop than helping me out, seemed completely annoyed at my basic questions, and they had a very poor selection of the basics of my very basic brand. I’ll continue to support another local store, I won’t be back to this one. 3⁄10 — Would not bang,

Really cool little store in downtown Halifax. They sell different stuff from what you get in all of the malls/box stores. Owner is very knowledgable and accomodating. Halifax needs more stores like this, great selection and products for great prices. The Hundreds, Schwood and Adidas are all available.

Guys? I did a bad thing. I visited Fresh Goods on the week of my birthday despite knowing my particular weakness for buying myself presents and loosely justifying it with some poetic diatribe about a birthday week and how I deserve it. $ 200 and twenty minutes later, I’m driving away with a new pair of kicks and sunglasses… but at least I’m obscenely happy and slightly distracted from my losing battle against mortality? Obviously Fresh Goods was well worth the visit. This primarily sneakers and accessories boutique(with a solid selection of hoodies and outerwear) is tucked away just around the corner from Spring Garden in a building that totally doesn’t set the right tone for the hardwood-floored, modern boutique hidden on the second floor. The down-to-earth owner was happy to show me around, answer dumb questions, and give me more information on the lines he carries and his plans for the business. The range of product makes for some great deals — it’s just as easy to walk away with $ 70 sneaks as it is higher end splurges, and they’ll be swaggerific either way. What I’m really excited about though is the small but awesome collection of sunglasses. I picked up a pair of The Hundreds wayfarers that I’m absolutely in love with while ogling the wooden sunglasses that aren’t sold anywhere else east of Montréal. Yes, I said wooden sunglasses and yes, they’re for your face.
