I tried to make an appointment with Dr. Daniel, as I have some damage to one of my molars from the mistake of a different dentist. Before my consult, I was briefed that it would be $ 200 for the consult. I thought that was steep but desided to book anyway. I went in for my appointment, and before I was able to talk to Dr. Daniel, I was told my appointment had been moved due to another patients emergency — without a phone call to inform me. While trying to reschedule to a day that worked for me, Dr. Daniel came out boasting about being off for the day and going golfing. I obviously was lied to and complained. I was offered to have my consult rebooked at 10% off. I rebooked for the following Monday, as there was an opening. I came in for my new appointment. Dr. Daniel came out to introduce himself, saw my purple hair, and told me I would not be able to afford his services, and refused to even look at my teeth. Even when I was willing to drop $ 200 on a CONSULT.
For somebody who boasts about «being the best», he is the most unprofessional dentist I have ever had the displeasure of meeting.
I will never return to this «dentist».

Sure, I also had to sit through Daniel talking about himself, and being told my smile, which I loved, would cost over $ 20,000 to fix with veneers he has made in labs just like other dentists who charge well under half that… Ok, so — you’re not looking for anything cosmetic? STILL LOOK FURTHER… Daniel’s favorite line to triple his general dentistry costs: «We can’t use ‘composite’ (affordable and durable resin filing) on this tooth, because ‘too much of the tooth structure has decayed’ we need to use a custom, porcelain filling’ Well DR. Daniel, you were my dentist for 2 years, I’ve never had a filling, so, how did you let it get to that point? and how do I rationalize a bill that’s well over $ 1000?

Like many of the patients who came before me, I am one of Those People at the dentist. Anxious and unreasonable thanks to years and years of bad experiences. So I decided this time to make a switch and look at a new dentist. And guys? Best. Decision. Ever.
Last week, I visited a lovely hygienist for a cleaning and some xrays, followed by a dental exam with Dr. Crosby. I had been experiencing significant pain for more than a month by the time I was able to schedule my treatment. From the time I walked in the door, til my appointment was over, I felt calm, comfortable, and well taken care of. At no point did I feel rushed or forgotten — from the front-​line staff to the dentists in the practice, I felt like everyone had my best interests in mind at all times. I felt absolutely no pain throughout the procedure, and I am (for the first time in weeks and week) 100 per cent pain free today. What a difference.
Dr. Crosby really is one of a kind, and I feel very lucky that our paths crossed. He’s a great dentist, ESPECIALLY for anyone with dental anxiety issues.

I recently went in to Daniel Daniel Dentistry for a cleaning and initial consult and was immediately impressed by the stylish way the office was set up. Very modern touches, making one feel as if one is going to be well taken care of.
The washrooms were quite unlike any other I’ve seen in other dentists offices. The walls are lined with all sorts of complimentary dental hygiene products such as toothpaste, floss, mouthwash etc. There was even moisturizer, hand lotion and hair styling products (for those whose hair gets scrunched up during the necessary X-​Rays and having to lie back against a dentist chair for extended periods). I thought this was very thoughtful and a good example of a business that thinks ahead regarding its clients needs.
Dr. Daniel himself is super confident and encouraging and leaves little doubt that you’re in extremely capable hands. He makes a personal connection with patients that I think would allay even the most dental-phobic’s fears.
I didn’t have to wait around in the waiting room very long (almost a pity considering the snack and coffee bar at your disposal), before getting whisked away to have whatever ails your chompers taken care of in a professional manner. They seem to have all kinds of ultra modern machinery that, again, I have not seen at any other dental office elsewhere.
The really close up x-​rays that they do in the dentist chair was a bit uncomfortable, but once I told them that they took steps to correct it immediately.
To sum it up, I look forward to returning to Daniel Daniel dentistry for my follow up and would highly recommend this practice to anyone.

I have never been fond of dentists (who is, really?), but it wasn’t until I had to get braces as a teen that I got really stressed about visits. It’s not that I had a bad dentist then, but they just wanted to get their work done and get on with the other appointments, and cared less about the patients’ anxieties. The very worse day came when I had to have molds done for my new retainers. It took three assistants to do it and several tries. I couldn’t even go back to school that day, I was so upset afterwards.
Six years later, I had to face the fact that my retainers finally needed to be replaced. I was dreading the whole thing very much, and so did a lot of research before selecting Daniel Daniel. I intended to ask for sleep dentistry, as it is offered there.
I was immediately comforted by the cozy waiting room and soft lighting. I also think the staff is trained to alleviate fears and such, as everyone I’ve ever met there was incredibly kind. I saw Dr. Daniel only briefly, since the whole process for me was handled by the assistants, but he was very nice. My molds were done by Vicky, who went above and beyond what I was expecting. She first convinced me that I didn’t need sleep dentistry, only anxiety pills that they offered. Then she said no pills, and then no numbing spray! Well now I was terrified. But she thought I could do it, and I did. She talked me through the whole thing, chatting lightly about her daughter and a funny thing that had happened that day, distracting me (so that I wouldn’t throw up…). It was done in a screened-​off room so I wouldn’t embarass myself and she gave me a few minutes in private afterwards to recover.
It was by no means a pleasant experience, because it is still an awful procedure. But Daniel Daniel Dentistry made it the best it could be under the circumstances. It is very expensive so I wouldn’t go there for regular dentistry, but for things like this I consider it totally worth it. They are extremely professionnal and I recommend them to anyone who has fears or anxieties or just wants a more pleasant trip to the dentist.

I will preface this review with my explanation about how much I hate dentists. Ever since I started getting my teeth poked and prodded, I’ve been That Kid. You know, the one that often winds up throwing up in the dentist’s office from a combination of anxiety and the awful, disgusting fluoride gel. In my teens, I was also That Patient. The one with the horrible case of nerves that had to eat several dinosaur-​shaped chewable fluoride pills reserved for young children because the fluoride gel plate still makes me gag. I don’t like dentists.
But I like Dr. Daniel.
His office is very sleek and comforting, with plush seats and a little snack bar with water and healthy snacks to munch on while you wait for your cleaning. The bathroom is stunning, with a beautiful sink and all the tools you need to freshen up your mouth before your appointment, and a little vanity section with Aveda products to freshen up after the appointment. The office is a reflection of the professional and detail-​oriented staff and service offered by Daniel Daniel Dentistry.
I had shared my anxieties to the staff before my first appointment, and they made it their mission to ensure that I was relaxed and at ease with what was going on; it included being personable, explaining what was happening before they did anything so I would know what to expect, and constantly checking in to make sure I was alright. Dr. Daniel was also great; he explained what he intended to do, how certain things were affecting my dental health, and made sure I was in control of the pace. He laid out my options for me, and assured me that there was no pressure on what treatment plan I should follow; he gave me the choice to choose what option fit my schedule and budget, and said that he would support me as best he could with every option.
He is a high end dentist, and his work is impeccable. You can also choose to get notifications of your next appointment by text; talk about modern! Because of my anxiety, I was given the option to take anti-​anxiety medication for my appointments, which is a nice perk for anyone needing help getting through their own fears and anxieties. I opted not to take it, because I did have to go back to work, but I trusted Dr. Daniel and his work, and it paid off in the end.
Because he’s a high end dentist, and he prefers to work with longer-​lasting (which means costlier) material, you may need to expand your budget. Also, because he is in demand, you will need to pay for your sessions up front, but the staff will process the claims for you to expedite your insurance returns.
Also to note is that Dr. Daniel has a severe cat allergy, so you’ll be instructed to de-​lint prior to your appointment. Don’t worry, though, the glossy bathroom has plenty of sticky lint rolls!

In the past I’ve felt that dentist visits were «like pulling teeth» (pun intended). Not so with Dr. Daniel and his team– here my dental visits are quite tolerable.
His office, located on Spring Garden near the Public Gardens, is very relaxing. The layout is spacious and comfortable, and there is always soft music playing in the background as you wait for your appointment. The exam room features a wall-​mounted television so you can relax and watch some tv (or if you call ahead and make a request, Dr. Daniel will rent a DVD of your choice for you to watch– how great is that?). And as if that isn’t enough, the good doctor also offers warm blankets so you can get cozy while having your dental work done. It’s like having the star treatment!
Dr. Daniel’s quality of care and service is the best I’ve had in my life (no exaggeration). I’ve had a TMJ disorder since my teens, and Dr. Daniel outfitted my mouth with a bite splint to ease my pain– and what a world of difference it has made! I appreciate that he took the time to listen to my concerns and come up with the ideal remedy (my jaw still isn’t perfect, but it’s a far cry better than it has been in years). Besides having my jaw situation attended to, I have also had my routine cleanings, and Zoom! Whitening performed under Dr. Daniel’s care. I couldn’t ask for better care and service– if I have to head to a dentist, this is the place I want to be.
