Cost U Less

I’ve only been here once, but I enjoyed my visit and left with what I’d come for.
Pros:
— A different variety of merchandise than that carried at Dollarama. Some may enjoy this and others may not.
— Deceptively vast — from the outside, I figured Cost-​U-​Less was just a wee place, but it’s actually rather large and packed with stuff.
— Great prices (although, as noted by another Unilocaler, it does help to know what other dollar stores charge for similar items).
Cons:
— Difficult to get in and out of, especially during peak hours.
— Cramped parking lot.
I’d encourage you to stop by Cost-​U-​Less if you’ve not done so before.

Love getting great deals and this store was just that! I go in once a week because they are always getting new stuff in. Staff are very friendly and this is my go do store for most of my house hold need and Party supplies!

Certainly no Dollarama. Poor quality merchandise, rude service, horrible décor, disorganized shelves… I won’t be back. Nuff said.

With Halloween quickly approaching, I was beginning to worry about not having a costume — and after having looked at Wal-​Mart, Value Village and some local costume stores, I had decided that I wasn’t prepared to spend $ 40 on a costume for one night. Just then, I drove past the Cost-​U-​Less Dollar Store in Cole Harbour and was delighted to see Halloween costumes hanging in the store window. When I went in I discovered that they carried various adult costumes, including: doctors, nurses, cavemen, prisoners and more at approximately $ 15 each.
Having had such great success there, I decided to check out another dollar store for comparison before making a decision, and was surprised to discover the exact same outfits at another nearby dollar store (on Main Street) for $ 5 less (approximately $ 10 each).
Morals of the story: Even at Dollar Stores you need to compare prices, and never underestimate the offerings of the dollar store.
