Cool as a Moose is a chain of about a half dozen stores centered in Maine but with a few up in Canada. There are definitely a souvenir and gift type place but with a pretty extensive and eclectic inventory.
Lots of t-​shirts, hoodies, hats, sweat pants and other clothing items and plenty of souvenir mugs, shot glasses, toys, books, cards, refrigerator magnets, foolish pet stuff and small and usually humorous food items. Of course since the name of the place is Cool as a Moose, a strong moose theme is going on. Like small chocolate candies call Moose Poop.
The store in Halifax is nice and open and easy to move around in. Yep, it’s about as touristy as it can be, but a nice place to get a cute souvenir or gift that is a bit out of the ordinary.
