Brothers is the best in the city for any beef, pork or pepperoni needs. Many would think that it would be more expensive than grocery stores but in many cases it is a lot cheaper and fresher. The pepperoni is world class and never disappoints. I personally buy the majority of my meat from Brothers and will continue to do so.

Brothers Pepperoni! I could end the review there and anyone who has ever had it would get it. I have never bought fresh meats from this butcher shop, they looked good though. The pepperoni is a Nova Scotia staple! The Honey Garlic is the best!

I’ve been buying meats from Brothers for a few years now since I’ve been in walking range. I’ve always been a big fan of their meats, with their mixed meats being my personal favourite thing to pick up since you get a decent variety for a crazy price. You can ask for ten dollars of mixed meats and that will give you enough meat to have three or four sandwiches per day from Monday to Friday if you wish. Everyone raves about the pepperoni, but I usually find it’s a little dry when I go in for some. Maybe this is because I work days and don’t show up until around 4:00PM(two hours from closing). I figure the fresh pepperoni that people love so much must be put out in the morning. It’s still tasty in the afternoon though even if it’s not crisp and fresh anymore.

I got some Hungarian sausage and at first thought it was great nice big stick for 1.95. But then found cartilage in my mouth spit it out and thought oh well that happens but then it was crushed bone I bit into. I tossed the whole thing in the trash. 1.95 does not seem like such a good deal anymore now does it.

The quality of food you get varies greatly by item. The peperoni is always great, if you buy mild that is fresh from the smoker its a very different peperoni experience. Their blood pudding and smoked pork-chops though are the best around. The sandwiches in the fridge I’ve had both good and very bad experiences with, so I cant give a 5 star.

I’ve lived in several countries spanning three continents and I can attest that Brothers has the BEST pepperoni in the world. Europe definitely has the best salamis but they’ve got nothing on Brothers pepperoni. I’ve carried it from Halifax to far flung spots such as Accra, Vienna and London and everyone there loves this stuff. There are two food items I leave Halifax with… Bash Toulany’s donairs and Brothers pepperoni.

There is nothing like walking down Agricola street and smelling the aroma of the meats smoking. Once you enter the doors of Brothers your are pleasantly overcome by all the smells of the mixed meats and the world famous Pepperoni, I love the TNT, HOT. Brother’s pepperoni comes in a variety of flavors and I just found out that Brothers produces 2000 of pepperoni a day nuts hey. Not only is meat available but a wide variety of cheeses and Rye breads available as well. Speciality mustard’s and pickles that you are able to pick up to go with your sandwich’s. Down located in the back cooler there are sandwiches already to go if you are on the go the mixed meats is really good One word of advice is during Christmas time especially Christmas Eve make sure you get there early as the line up is usually out the door so look at at least 1hour plus wait.

This is The Original Brothers Meats. It started in 1951 and you can find Brothers Pepperoni in just about every supermarket around. When we go, the order is mixed meats, mixed cheese, hot pepperoni, and of course rye bread. Prices are very reasonable. They also sell fresh sandwiches here, which are packed full. Brothers is good for special occasions can do a party tray up for you. They have a variety of specialty meats to choose from. The staff is great.
