As a very frequent home décor shopper & home fashion lover, over the years I’ve noticed the quality within Bouclair Home.(Not so great) I’ve purchased many pieces, but a large amount has been returned due to low quality in build/style. FURNITURE: wobbly/missing pieces WALLDECOR: cheap/warped/broken ACCENTS: over priced/chipped/faded Now, I haven’t even gotten to the service. Over all, the manager is actually very unpleasant. I’ve always been very understanding, but he seems very blunt towards me. I feel as if I have done something wrong to ask a question at times… However, another girl was working & she was also very rude. I just felt that there was no care with these people! I am a pleasant person & I purchase a lot of stuff here, but I always get a negative response in return!

This place is just completely meh. Unlike some other spots that offer cheaper furniture and household décor, for whatever reason I find Bouclair just can’t hit that balance that keeps something affordable from just looking and being cheap. There’s plenty of little trinkets to be picked up here from sequined lamps to bright cushions, but I just can’t say any of it looked like something I’d want in my cart, let alone my house. It’s a very young and flashy style that might be right for a dorm room or first apartment, but I can’t imagine any of their products surviving many moves. I’m not saying there’s nothing nice here or that they’re aren’t deals to be found, but you’ll have more luck visiting for impulse buys or to happen upon that one thing that’ll finish off a room, than you would treating it as a one-stop-shop for your living space.

I was suprised to learn that BouClair stores are a novelty here in Halifax– they are a dime a dozen across Ontario and BC, and have been around for ages! One thing I’ve found with the Bou Clair stores down here is that they are considerably smaller than what I’m used to. That said they still carry the accents I like: I’ve always been a sucker for BouClair’s decorative cushions, canvas prints and rattan lamps(as evident in my condo). BouClair is most specifically known for its expansive selection of drapery and window coverings, every type of curtain, decorative valance, and(my personal faves) faux wood and bamboo blinds. You can have your blinds custom-cut in the store at no extra charge. Prices here are more than reasonable, making BouClair an excellent store for home décor.

This store is great! I hadn’t even heard of Bouclair Home until they recently set up shop in Bayer’s Lake Park. They sell everything from drapery, towels, bedding, tables, lamps, blinds, cushions, rugs and a great selection of décor; such as, candles, vases and artificial plants! It reminds me a lot of Home Outfitters, but a lot less expensive! The layout is great and the staff are nice. I didn’t have much interaction with them, however, when I went through the check outs, they seemed approachable. This would be a great store to shop in if you were looking to spend a certain amount of money to accessorize a home. Good quality at great prices!

Bouclair Home is located out in the Bayers Lake Park. This is a new store which carries housewares. I think it if sort of a cross between Wicker Emporium meets Pier One. Here you will find, some furniture, drapes, towels, mirrors, baskets, as well as a huge selection of blinds. You will find lamps, bathroom furnishings, just about everything in this store, except what I was looking for, which were tables(tv tables). Anyhow, I did ask the staff if they carried them and she was very polite saying no, they only had the flip over stools(which were pretty cool). The pricing here was pretty good I thought, from two pair of drapes for twenty dollars to mirrors for eighty. The quality seemed ok and I think if you were on a budget you could do well here.
