Established in 2012.

Bandha Bar began selling its natural energy bars at a hot yoga studio in Halifax called Halifax Yoga. Atlantic Canadians have been loving Bandha Bar and its four flavours are now available in over 50 locations, including 30 in the Halifax Regional Metro Area. Customers have taken Bandha Bar on trips to Europe and throughout North America including, climbing Mt. Washington and running the Boston Marathon.

Bandha Bar was created to be a natural energy bar with no added sugar and a better nutrition profile. Eat Bandha Bar when you need a natural snack that will keep you satisfied and feeling great.

As a former competitive cyclist Ryan DesRoches learned that nutrition is an essential part of feeling great. He realized that much of the food he was eating was made outside of Canada with ingredients he had never heard of. This felt strange; growing up in Atlantic Canada, it is our culture to eat from local producers. His inspiration was to make a snack that had an ideal nutrient mix and no processed sugar or ingredients. It was also important to make the bar gluten-​free, dairy free and vegan.

Using the highest quality organic nuts and dried fruits the Bandha Bar team make four handmade flavours. Bandha Bar combines the natural sweetness of dates with unsweetened organic chocolate and cocoa to create a satisfying chocolate taste. This unrefined method retains all the vitamins and minerals present in the ingredients. You can trust that eating a Bandha Bar will leave you satisfied and feeling great!
