Art of Denim

I was pretty shocked and saddened to see one of my favourite Guelph stores selling fur. Coyotes are trapped and suffer horrific endings — exposed, injured and in pain and fear, waiting sometimes days to be dispached. Other animals of course get caught in these traps (that are illegal in many countries, Canada lags in animal cruelty laws). Domestics such as cats and dogs, deer, owls, cougars, other birds of prey can get caught in these traps. When I see someone wearing that fur cuff I am really sickened. I wonder if the wearer is just not aware, has bought the corporate cleaned –up story, or really does not care that they have framed their face with the agony of living beings. Faux fur is plenty warm for us city dwellers! It is purely a cruel fashion accessory that speaks volumes about the wearer. So sad that Denim made this choice as I used to like the store.

Such a great store! The owner, Marc, has a great eye when it comes to selecting items that are flattering on your body. He stocks both classic and trendy styles that will keep you looking hot season after season, but most importantly he’s very selective and carries only premium brands — and we all know how quality denim feels and looks — you really can’t go wrong.
Basically Marc is super friendly and helpful, and he will go the extra mile to make sure you are 100% happy! Customer service at its best — it’s a rarity these days. Thanks so much!

Okay — so that dreaded time happened — I bent down just the right way… and my jeans said «hey — you’ve been wearing us for a bit too long… bybye».
I’m not super big on spending money on clothes. That said… I also tend to wear my jeans for a long time (like *5 years* long time… as the above rippage discussion shows). So I’ll spend money on jeans.
I search for jeans stores in Guelph and this place came up (way to go Google, key words are working!)
They are not in a mall. They have people not 15 years of age working. Sigh… so awesome. I feel like i need to sing their praises. :)
I came in about 15 minutes before close one evening… and the girl working was so pleasant and went out of her way for almost an hour to find me stuff to try on (seriously — how do people shop without this kind of service?!). I only had «jeans» in mind… Yet I came out there having purchased 2 pairs of «fit my butt, my thighs, didn’t make me look like a hipster, but also didn’t make me like my mom» awesome jeans. WOW.
BTW — they offer hemming for a minimal cost (so if you’re an «in between height» like me… where you need to buy the tall size but could use a ½″ off… that is completely doable here).
