Blackburn Arms Pub Restaurant

Had a fun trip out to this pub. We tried the fish and chips (excellent) and the chicken wings. I personally wasn’t fond of the Cajun Dusted Wings, but I heard from The Son that the Suicide Wings were great! (Sorry — I don’t try anything with Suicide in the name — not a hot and spicy gal.) The Son noted that they were not the hottest wings he had, but he definitely enjoyed them.
Beer was good. Darts were good. Service was good. Décor is dark wood with signs of where people like to perch and chat worn it. Everything is in good repair — it’s a comfortable place.
They also have a single pool table for a friendly game. It was pretty busy all evening when we were there, so we didn’t get to play.
Definitely a neighborhood feel — lots of people seemed to know lots of people. Apparently they have a darts night on Thursday, so if you love darts, this might be the place for you. They have live music on occasion, so check their website if that’s what you are looking for.
Would I return: Yes, if I was out that way and looking to eat, this is a place I’d go back to (and order fish and chips again) :-)
Would I recommend: Yes — we enjoyed it!
