I’m giving this place three stars only because it’s a small establishement that isn’t fancy and also doesn’t use super expensive products. I would love to give it four stars, but it’s just not fancy enough in the hair world to merit it… But the service is great, the people are friendly and it’s AFFORDABLE! I booked an appointment at Studio l’Eclipse because my high school friend Steph works there, AND I was in dire need of a trim. I showed up first thing Saturday morning(8am) and the place was PACKED! She wasn’t expecting to see me, and she almost fell to the floor whe she saw me come in; we hadn’t seen eachother in years! I came in for a quick haircut, just enough to take off my split ends and give my quarter-head shave a little attention. She did a fantastic job and I left the studio feeling absolutely fab! Next time I come in I’ll take before & after photos. The best part about my visit(other than seeing Steph): The price. Just amazing. I got a friend discount I am sure, but honestly it’s the cheapest haircut I’ve had in over 5 years. $ 25 tax in + tip. Booyah! For now the studio mainly focuses on hair, but my friend mentioned that they’re going to expand into the unit next door soon and will then offer massage and esthetic services. Cool! She says she got her massage training so I’ll be in for a nice little pampering as soon as I can. The hairdressers all have different styles, one of which has dreadlocks, so you are safe to be creative with your hair here. They also offer special prices for kids/young teens and I also think they have a student discount. Yay! The outside of this place needs a little TLC, but that doesn’t affect my hair so I don’t mind. :) If you do decide to go, ask for Steph Lefebvre… she’s the bestest and LOVES hair.
