Had a great time! love the old signs with the radio station under the screens. Really good poutine. If it’s still on, rise of the planet of the apes was really good.

Cine-Parc Templeton is the last drive in movie theatre in the Ottawa/Gatineau area. It’s located near the Gatineau airport, so if you’re not familiar with the area, bring your GPS. The drive-in has two movie screens; one normally features English movies while the other offers French movies. When you drive into the drive-in, you’ll find a person selling tickets in the smallest booth known to man. Please be aware that the drive-in DOESNOT accept credit or Interac payments so make sure you bring cash. Admission is 12 $ for adults and 6 $ for children. Your admission includes not one but two movies in your language of choice. It also comes with a free plastic bag for your garbage! Cine-Parc Templeton does have a snack bar, but you can also bring your own snacks. The snack bar is VERY reasonably priced with popcorn at 2.50 $ and drinks around that price as well. The Templeton drive in shows only summer“blockbuster” movies, so most of them are rated G or PG. Unfortunately, many of these movies are just horrid. However, it seems as though kids generally love these movies, so it’s something to keep in mind. To hear the audio of the films being shown, you have to either place of the outdoor radios in your car or tune in to the assigned frequency. If you’re okay with sitting outside, feel free to bring a blanket and watch from the grass. Be aware, however, that there’s a creek near by, which attracts the mosquitoes. I’ve noticed that some families brought netting that they slammed between their car doors and their cars with their windows down. This allows them to watch the movies with their car windows down without worrying about bugs. The whole experience of going to the drive is magical; being able to watch your movie from your car or sit outside on a blanket, bring your own snacks if you choose, and not worry about the noises or distractions of the audience around you.
