Le buffet est varié mais c’est quand même un peu cher. C’est souvent extrêmement bruyant. Pratique pour quand un groupe n’arrive pas à se mettre d’accord pour un Resto.

This was an amazing and flavourful dinner out for myself, husband and son. Was greeted nicely and didnt feel overwhelmed with the watrr as I do at most buffets. The décor was«cool«in my sons worss and to be honest I’d have to agree. The food !!! Amazing! ASAINGREEKFRENCHITALIAN !! DESSERTSTASTY! What a mouthful of flavor ! The best part Is we didnt know that kids under 12 eat free! Bonus :) Definitely check it out because I know we are going back again and this time wearing jogging pants lol

This is no fine dining, but if you’re traveling with a tour group or a large, fussy crowd, this is your best bet. We were a group of 20 people and they served us very well. As for the food, the selection here is pretty solid. There are lots of vegetables and meats that were fresh. Nothing seemed old or «recycled». Vegetarians here need not go hungry. CLEANINESS: The entire building seemed pretty clean; I could see staff sweeping and wiping even during the busy hours. Plates and utensils were in good shape too. DESSERTS: The wine-soaked pears were absolutely delectable and I was impressed to see that there were even a few class Québécois desserts that I’d never had before. Great place for a large group, but nothing I’d come here for on my own.

First time here for lunch only. I hear the dinner is better. Big place lots of seating including an upstairs. Lots of free parking. Food wise I’ve had better. The scrambled eggs were hard and tasted fake. The Chinese food was nothing close to the real deal. I found the dessert selections lacking and there was really no fresh fruit to pick from. If and when Mandarin buffets start opening around here these sub par places will unfortunately be uncompetitive. Like in mentioned I hear the dinner is better. Review is only for lunch.

As far as buffets go this place is the best in the region. Our waiter Benoit was great. We will be back

I have been to this restaurant 4 times now, most recently on a Friday night after a trip to another local activity nearby. The food: Buffet is quite large. At least 20 entrée dishes, a salad bar, pizzas, and desserts delivers overall value. The value is why the restaurant is always busy. Quality and taste is average. Last night’s Spanakopita was good, but the salad bar didn’t have the regular fresh cut tomatoes and cucumbers(?!). For us carnivorous meat-eaters, then this place is great — lots of selection and variety on a given day. For us vegetarians, simply pass and go somewhere else. The selection doesn’t make it worthwhile to go. The Experience: They have different pricing based on day and time, and the selection and variety will also vary during that time. The facilities are clean and the place is very busy. If you are coming during the evening rush, strongly suggest making a reservation as there will be a line up during the first dinner seating.

I went there for the rack of lamb as the website says they offer that on the weekends. When I went there at 7pm on Friday. They said sold out. I was very disappointed

Mediocre, very cool idea. Has so much potential but over all they don’t put enough care and love into the bland food. It’s too bad. Maybe one or two dishes that stick out but that’s about it.

I went to this place at least 15 times, and I love it. Have a very wide variety of food from all over the world and a magnificent place(especially the second floor). In all my visits I only got 1 rude waiter, the rest were very friendly and professional. I have never experienced shortage of food, chefs usually refill the dishes way before they’re empty. I especially like their deserts, it’s might be the reason why I go there so often. Reservations are available but usually unnecessary. Overall, Excellent. Definitely would recommend. I just wish if they have a branch in Ottawa.

Le Buffet Des Continents = every buffet loving child’s dream. Heard about this place from a friend and decided to stop by on a Saturday night for date night. Being a foodie, the thought of being able to eat food from all over the world all in one place sounds like paradise. I’m not too sure what I was expecting, but a part of me was a little disappointed with the selection after hearing that it had SOMUCH variety. But none the less, I still left very full and satisfied. The only thing that really stood out for me was the different types of freshly made pizzas as well as the pulled pork poutine with potato wedges instead of regular french fries. In my opinion everything else was pretty standard buffet stuff, sad Asian section, an even sadder Italian pasta section, quite a bit of sea food, soup, salad and fruit bar. The dessert table was pretty sad as well. I was so excited to see that they were serving maple toffee but the portion and quality of the toffee was the worst I have ever had in my life. So disappointing. My main issue with this restaurant was that we were seated on an upper floor and had to make trips up and down the stairs to get to the buffet and back, which was just a nuisance. The restaurant also seats hundreds of people in an open dining area so it got pretty loud pretty fast and there are lots of kids everywhere running wild. This is the type of restaurant you would want to take your kids out for their birthday. definitely not for people who take their food too seriously. Overall, I must say that as far as buffet food goes, this place is probably the best.

Go there once in a while. Food is good. Doesn’t always taste the same but still good. I’m picky on the eggrolls… but yes i do recommend this restaurant

All of the dishes are good, but nothing’s great. They have a wide selection of food. I’m a regular customer and it’s a nice casual environment. The staff is friendly and helpful. Overall, it’s a good spot for a relaxing family dinner

Well, the best thing I can say is it’s edible. Even by buffet standards, most of the dishes are mediocre. The variety is impressive, but everything is quite bland, often overcooked and dry. The foreign dishes in particular, well I don’t think these cooks have ever boarded a plane, because the flavour profile is squarely Canadian. The décor is extremely tacky, and there is a big staircase in the middle of the dining area. Who ever thought it would be a good idea to have hundreds of people walking up stairs with heaping plates… I often use«Gatineau» as a pejorative term(from before the amalgamation), and this place is 110% Gatineau. Cheap, tacky, bland, kids running around everywhere. The best thing I can say about this place is that it’s slightly less atrocious than the chinese buffet down the street.

This place is on and off with service, but the food is not bad. We occasionally visit the buffet when in Gatineau area.

Me and my family bought coupons for Buffet des continents from Costco thinking it would be a nice night out for a family dinner. When we got there the parking was a maze. We got inside and the place was packed which is usually a good sign for a restaurant. Well no, that was deceiving. The food looked disgusting. You had to fight your way in to get at anything. Barely any vegetarian options. I ate salad and French fries. It was a sad excuse for«continental» cuisine. And an even worse excuse for a buffet. Not worth the 96 $ for 4 people and the drive out it Gatineau. Never going back.

I ate at this buffet for the first time last week, not knowing what to expect, and it turned out to be pretty good! The quality of the food was what you would expect from a buffet: not insanely good, but good — on par with any Mandarin location — and very varied! There were foods inspired from all over the world, as the name of the restaurant implies, and it proved to be a fun night out with friends. Furthermore, this place discounts on weekdays as compared to weekends, so if you’re looking for an amazing deal(i.e. $ 10-$ 15 per person), try to visit le Buffet des Continents Monday through Thursday. I’ll be going again and I recommend it to anyone wanting to try out a decent buffet in Ottawa/Gatineau.

I didn’t think the experience could get worse than my last experience. I was wrong. We came to Continental to celebrate a birthday. Upon arriving a staff member took our name and said the wait was about 30 – 40 minutes. We called around to a few other restaurants in search of shorter wait times, but in the end we decided to wait it out. After being next in line and waiting for 50 minutes(by this time it’s 7:30pm, far past normal supper time) we asked the employee when we would be seated. She searched her list and didn’t have our name! She had crossed us off her list! Just as she was re-adding us to the list and saying it would be another 20 – 30 minutes, the manager stepped in and got us a table immediately. As we were being led to our seats by the manager, the employee who lost our names actually had the nerve to say«next time, come earlier.» Unbelievable! We were seated and ordered our drinks. Unfortunately, we were over half way done our meals before they arrived. The food was just as before: a huge quantity, but nothing stood out as being their speciality or being incredibly good. A few dishes I tried: — Tandoori chicken — was excellent. The chicken was moist and not dry — The Chinese chicken fried rice — still tastes like over-salted Uncle Bens rice — The Chinese chicken balls — were very good, but contained too much batter(which tasted like pancake batter) compared to the tiny piece of chicken — The pizza — was good, but the meat topping tasted chewy and cheap. Still, it was an improvement over the last pizza we had there. — The sushi — was excellent and very fresh. — Spring rolls and egg rolls — meh. Okay. Once again the desserts were the stars. They had Chaumer’s Pudding, crème caramel, cheesecake, and tons of ice cream and squares. All were good, except for the blueberry cake, which was very dry. The selection was nothing different than what we ate the last time we were there, yet the plate prices for Saturday nights are higher. Taking what we knew from our previous experience, we avoided ordering any drinks but water. The same observations as previously noted continued: there is no coordination at the buffet lines, and the random décor is tacky. On the plus side, there was no mariachi band this time. In all, the large price tag simply isn’t worth it for the mediocre food and poor customer service.

Wasnt too sure if I drove up to an appliance outlet or a restaurant! But Don’t be fooled by the exterior! The space is massive, plenty of searing space for large groups and small parties. The atmosphere is really warm and welcoming, and the sections of country themed décor was not overly cheesy. Food was one of the better buffets I’ve eaten at in recent years. The salads were fresh with a nice assortment of toppings(beets, couscous, salmon… Etc). The rotissery and pasta stations were my favorite — freshly carved smoked meat! Overall great location for big groups and to satisfy all types of tastes(vegetarian, carnivores, dessert fiends, picky eaters…) Dinner was the price of a typical entrée at a menu restaurant. Definitely something there for everyone at a decent price.

I like coming here frankly. There is no other restaurant that can equate the ridiculously large selection and they always have some cool think like a guy making sushi or tacos, crab legs etc. Anytime, any day I like it. Sunday brunch and Friday seafood are my favorite though. Atmosphere rocks too BTW. Why 3 stars you ask? Only one reason, the food taste is mediocre for many foreign dishes.(I don’t know if there’s also a bias in me for the lack of Lebanese food lol). Their foreign dishes are very meh and sometimes feel bland. I really don’t know what it is that makes it that way though. Maybe quality is sacrificed for selection. Its really sometimes so bad that I had to take off two stars rather than one. In general though, that’s not going to stop me from coming here, I love it

I’ve been to Le Buffet for celebrations so perhaps that makes me partial to the place. Birthday celebrations, graduation celebrations, you name it. But I have to admit I’ve enjoyed the food every time. Great sea food selection. Decent desserts too. Salads for those of you who know what’s good for you. Carb fests for the rest of us. :) And seculent meats to accompany whatever main you choose. All you can eat of course. And a very large dining space, great for large parties and kids who can’t sit still. Gotta say I like this place a lot, just wish there was a location in Ottawa. Also I can’t say it’s really that wordly(bit of travelling will make you realize this hardly constitutes multi-continental dining) but it brings you a bit of this and a bit of that. Can’t be mad at that. If anyone cares to check it out and wants to give a gal a ride… :P Sinon, bon appetit!

The smoked meat was very good, so were the mussels. The clam chowder was disappointing(runny and with sand when chewing on the clams). The crème brûlée was not good at all.
