I wish I remembered there name of the amazing waitress we had. The food was ok, wine delicious and service was best in class … Salad(dinner salad) was entirely too huge. Could easily serve half the portion.

In one of my first visits to Canada, back in 2008, we went to a Baton Rouge restaurant(the one downtown, I think it’s on Constitution Square building). It was the best rib experience that I have ever had. After so many years, I still remember how the meat could be separated from the bone practically with your mind, the fork was not involved a lot in that meal. That is how tender they were. Based on that, we decided to try the location in Hull. The memory of those ribs was too powerful for me, so I could not order anything else but the ribs. I chose sweet potato fries as a side dish, for a change. The sweet potato fries were actually really good, and the ribs were not bad. However, they were far from what I remembered, so I was a bit disappointed. Again, they were not bad, they were pretty decent, nice flavor, nicely cooked and everything, but they were no match for whatever I choose back in 2008 so I left the restaurant with a bit of a sad feeling. However, the experience is never bad in the Baton Rouge, it is a very nice option for a dinner anytime.

Better experience this time, but service was slow and quality not commensurate with price. Will go elsewhere next time. Food was still a bit too salty

Consistency describes Baton Rouge best. Always the same flavors and expected service regardless of which Baton Rouge you go to. I have a friend who manages a Baton Rouge, he tells me what not to order to keep my meal as calorie-friendly as possible, so I stick to his recommendations and it’s all good.

Baton Rouge has the best Ribs in town. They are so tasty. I recently found out that they marinate the ribs overnight. A very classy place to go. I have tried ribs from many different restaurants and Baton Rouge is still the best :) A little pricey but its worth it.

I went here with my father and brother on a Saturday night. It was extremely busy, but that was to be expected. The service was great, very polite and relatively fast. My brother and I shared the Lobster Poutine which was actually really good, despite how creepy I thought it sounded! I had a New York Striploin with vegetables and mashed potatoes. The steak was cooked perfectly and the sides were great. I would go back here for sure!

Had the $ 24 ‘small’ special which was soup/salad, prime rib, potato and desert. There was an option for a larger piece of prime rib but all three men in our party were very full with the ‘small’ portion. I had the caesar salad to start which was pretty good. It tasted like homemade sauce, not something from a squeeze bottle. It came with a little slice of cheese toast too. The main course was great, I had the prime rib grilled medium rare with au jus on the side. You can also get it cooked in au jus. The au jus was brilliant. My mouth is watering thinking about it now. It also came with a huge baked potato. Probably the biggest potato I’ve ever seen and fully dressed it was very tasty. Desert was chocolate mousse and it was light and creamy, perfect after the big meal. I liked the ambience too. Dim lighting, Frank Sinatra played all evening at just the right volume.
