The Athlone Inn

What an incredible place to stay!
We were here for one night and they were extremely accommodating to us.
The breakfast the next morning was more than enough to fill a hungry man’s appetite while pleasing to the eye with great presentation.
The location takes you out of the hustle and bustle but not to far.
Rooms were spacious and my wife loved them. Great views all around.

We stayed in the cottage portion of the Athlone Inn. The rooms are definitely upgraded cottage and a bit rustic however clean and tidy. The pictures on the website are a bit misleading. Others have recommended the inside rooms but I cannot vouch. The staff were uniformly very friendly and helpful.
The exceptional part of the Atlone Inn is the food. We only had the breakfast but it was top notch and you will not leave hungry. There is only a single set breakfast but the chef accommodated our picky daughter with a small change. Would return to try the dinner.

Fine dining, I mean, fine. No way they can be profitable, so I hope the chef does well in the next venture. While it is open, must try it. Pricey, but commensurate with quality. Highly recommended.

Stayed at the Athlone Inn in Ganonoque for the weekend to attend a co-​workers wedding and I fell in love…
It is run by a husband and wife. Wifey takes care of the customer service, and room bookings side of business, while hubby labours in the kitchen to pump out amazing gourmet dishes prepared with only the freshest of local ingredients.
Tired of having cold cereal and milk and all that continental breakfast crap in the major Toronto hotels? Come to the Athlone Inn and experience what true hospitality is!
The Athlone Inn is a house-​converted B&B with an extension from the main house for additional rooms. We stayed in the extended portion of it. Ganonoque itself is not a very happening place, but the scenery and views are very cottage-​like and its a nice place to getaway to for a quiet, relaxing weekend vacation.
I had THE best coffee in my entire adult life at the Athlone Inn… I know it was good because I also had the MOST coffee in my entire adult life at the Athlone Inn. My usual intake of 2 cups a day max, shot up to 4 cups a day. That’s how good it was!
The food — no words can describe. And did I mention that these gourmet creations are INCLUDED in the price of your booking? See pictures. I need not say more in terms of how A-​MAZING it was!
We also had dinner here one night in the same dining room where brekkie is served and once again the food was amazing. Two in our group of 4 decided to split an entrée and they gave them both individual dishes which I thought was very thoughtful and just demonstrates how much love and care the owners put into running this lovely B&B.
I split a room with my girlfriend and the beds were comfortable. The rooms have more of a cottage-​y feel to them. The TV is old — I don’t know about you, but when I’m away from Toronto, the last thing I want to do is spend an entire day in my hotel room.
I highly recommend the Athlone Inn — once you go you too will fall in love.
