Mike’s Hair

Do not go here if you’ve got long hair or want anything more advanced than your basic barber cut.
I visited Mike’s Hair a few years back when I was new to Fort Saskatchewan. I saw that they also catered to women, and figured that since the cut I wanted needed to be done with clippers, I would visit a barber shop. I wanted a simple undercut on one side of my head – not something that’s difficult to do. I even brought in a reference photo. As soon as the stylist looked at the photo, I could tell by the look on his face that he didn’t know how to do it. However, he assured me he could do it and so I sat down and let him go at it. Worst mistake I have ever made involving my hair. He started cutting random chunks out of my hair instead of simply clipping and blending it. When I realized what he was doing, I asked him to stop cutting and just shave the underside. He did what I asked, styled my hair, I paid and left and then immediately made an appointment elsewhere to fix the mess he had made with the rest of my hair.
Honestly, I should have just booked with an actual salon in the first place but I obviously made the mistake of assuming that a barber could do a simple women’s undercut.

I have been coming to this shop for about 11 years and have seen it run by two different owners. The staff are friendly, they know their jobs and offer a good quality haircut for a responsible price. If you are looking for a haircut then this is the place to go if you are in the Fort

Probably one of the best haircuts I’ve gotten was from Eddie at Mike’s hair. I don’t have a very full head of hair and have to keep it pretty short but a good barber can give you alternatives to just buzzing it off and that’s exactly what I got. Ya it’s $ 18 but I got my goatee and eyebrows trimmed at that price as well.
As long as I can keep pretending I’ve got hair, I’ll be coming back here.

Great place to get your hair cut but do it during the weekday as weekends are busy. The haircuts are quick but was a little surprised at the $ 18.00 for the little trim I had that took about 10 minutes.
