History

Established in 1967.

Happy Jack’s Restaurant opened its doors in 1967 when owners Jack and Wendy Chew decided to provide the Niagara Region and Western New York with great Chinese food, friendly service and generous portions. Jack and Wendy worked from their small 40 seat diner until 1972, when they had expanded the restaurant to 110 seats. It was an exciting time, with a new building and expanded menu to cater to the new and developing taste of our customers. By 1977, Jack and Wendy decided to expand once again with another 130 seat dining room and a huge kitchen that can cook for 1500 people if needed.

In 2000, the three sons of Jack and Wendy: Jeff, Alvin and Jack jr. took over the restaurant and continue the high quality of food and service their parents had begun.

Happy Jack’s Patio was opened in 2003. It is set along the beautiful Riverwalk overlooking the Peace Bridge and the Niag
