Fort Erie Race Track & Slots

The slots are long gone, but the races go on. On Sundays there is a bazaar outside the race area. We bought homemade sausages. If planning to purchase food at the bazaar, be sure to put a cooler of ice in the car as your vehicle will be sitting in the sun. There were some clothing booths, fruits and vegetables and bedroom linens (!). There are fast food vendors, as well.
We went straight to the tiki bar which is adjacent to the track, passed the betting area. On a lovely Sunday afternoon, it was great fun to sip our drinks under a palapa as the horses rode right by us. Drink prices were reasonable.
You can get very close to the horses as they cross the pathway from the track to the barns. In between the races they had live music. A very pleasant afternoon.

Very nice to spend a few hours to relax, bet a few bucks on the ponies and hopefully turn a profit. Very clean all around for a race track. Tuesdays are $ 2 hot dog day and the Nathan dogs are very well worth it, they were huge! Not very crowded this day, maybe more so on Sunday. (In Sept. only racing on Sun/​Tue). Go and spend a few hours there you’ll enjoy yourself for sure.

I visited just the other day to watch the horse races. Parking is free as are the horse races (obviously you can bet on them). I thought it was a nice way to spend the afternoon. There are places to sit near the stables where you can see the horses before they race. There is also a variety of indoor and outdoor seating where you can view the races. Food is a little expensive but with everything else being free, it all balances out.

The slots are gone. The race track has a nice outdoor part. There is easy viewing of the paddock and track, especially for kids. Very nice landscaping in the infield. The stands need renovation. Typical list of simulcasting.
Go before the gov’t shuts the whole place down!

I came here as a part of a casino bus trip. I never ventured out onto the race tracks, I just stayed in the casino part. The casino is run and operated by OLG.
This is a small casino with no tables just slot machines. I definitely recommend joining there loyalty club called Winner’s Circle. The card can be used at any of the other 22 OLG slots and Casino locations. With the card you receive extra perks like discounts or complimentaries such as discounted/​free meals, concert tickets, and sporting events depending on how much you play, as well you earn points that can be contributed for cashback for slot plays or redeem points for gift cards.
They have an onsite full service restaurant/​bar called The Carousel Restaurant and Bar. I received a coupon for a discounted breakfast there. They also serve complimentary non-​alcoholic beverages (coffee, tea, fountain pop only), you just have to wait for the lady to come around to you to take your order. Parking if free!
The staff here are friendly and come around to see if you need any help or explain how to play the machine but they all are pretty self explanitory.
Overall a simple casino good for beginners or those who don’t like crowds. Definitely join the loyalty club. I got a bonus $ 10 bucks to play with just for joining!
