Dr. Permack was great! I had an exam a year prior from another optometrist, and Dr. Permack corrected my prescription — vision is just right now. He explained every test he conducted and talked to me as an equal. He also has special expertise in contact lenses, and knew exactly which daily and monthly contacts to fit me in. My new contacts are much more comfortable than the pervious lenses I was wearing. All in all, it was an absolute pleasure to visit him. Highly recommended!

Having never had an eye exam before, I was very nervous about visiting an optometrist. I had heard great reviews from friends and colleagues about Dr. Permack, so I decided to book an appointment with him. Getting there was very easy — the location of his office is just off the Royal York Subway station, so it was very convenient to get to.
On seeing how nervous I was about my exam, Dr. Permack was extra patient with me and explained all the procedures and tests that he was conducting. He always ensured that I was comfortable during my eye exam.
I would 100% recommend Dr. Permack to everyone. He goes that extra mile to ensure his patients are looked after and comfortable. Another great perk of his clinic, is that it’s attached to a great glasses store.

I visited Dr. Permack a month ago for my annual eye exam after hearing positive reviews from friends about his services. I was in the market for a new optometrist after moving here a couple years ago, so took my friends up on their review and decided to book an appointment.
Dr. Permack was extremely kind, patient, and attentive. He took the time to run a number of tests on my eyes and make sure I was completely satisfied with the final prescription he prescribed. I also really appreciated that Dr. Permack paid attention to my family’s ocular history and ensured that he ran a cornea mapping exam with some fancy new equipment he had!
What most impressed me with Dr. Permack was that he was able to teach me how to put in contact lens and found me a type that I really liked. I’ve been resisting contacts for years now, and was so surprised when he was able to give me a pair of contacts that I could barely feel and actually could see through!
All in all, I would recommend Dr. Permack without hesitation. If you’re looking for a talented, conscientious optometrist, make sure to give him a call.
Bonus points: Dr. Permack has these hilarious test ‘glasses’ that you can put on that let you test the prescription he recommends. Ask him to try them on and you’ll see what I’m talking about.
