IKEA is always the place to walk around to get some ideas for home renos. Same layout as other location. Customer service is slow; not a lot of staff available to provide assistance when needed (on weekend) had to walk around and around to look for a staff to ask questions.

Love the food. Aside from the DIY furniture, the food is a good incentive to shop at IKEA.

Don’t try to return anything, ignore the mess in the restaurants and focus on great furniture selection.
Ok, I LOVE Ikea furniture. It is cheap, beautiful and more durable than any other cheap brand. Yes, it is not the type that will last you util ready to be passed on to your grandchildren but you know what, I don’t want to keep the same furniture for my whole life. I like to change my place every here and there and Ikea offers great prices and is always on trend.
As for other experiences in this particular store go: the returns and exchanges department is a horror story. I waited more than an hour to exchange a broken picture frame. There were many people complaining about missing parts in their kitchen order so maybe that is best to be avoided too at this particular location.
Another thing I really hate is the horrible mess in their restaurant. Ikea stores in Europe are always clean and cozy to the point one almost wants to live in them permanently. In Canada, Ikea stores are usually busy, full of screaming kids and food all over the floor and chairs. Watch out before you sit down! They do not know how to properly prepare meat balls that are way undercooked. they are cheap though.
Also, great resource for nice X-​mas trees and decorations.

I love coming to Ikea to walk around its like a big magical land of amazingly designed living rooms and bedrooms. But its also a magical land without any employees because I actually couldn’t find one… At all. The food is great though go for cheap breakfast!
I purchased a wardrobe and a few other things. After waiting a few minutes another customer helped me to load the 2 boxes of the wardrobe onto the flat role cart as there was no Ikea employees in sight and this wasnt the first time of my visit that I couldn’t find an employee to help me. When I was in the lighting department earlier I walked around for 5 minutes before finding a worker and when I did it was only one lonesome women who looked to be bombarded with people asking her for help. I felt bad for her as she was the only worker in such a large area.
Back to my main issue I couldn’t find anyone to help me load the 2 heavy boxes onto the rolling cart and after a nice passer by helped me when I was at cash I asked the cashier if anyone would be available upon my exit to help my load the heavy boxes into my truck. I am a small girl and those boxes were bigger than me! I go outside and Im awkwardly standing outside for 20 minutes in the loading zone waiting for someone to come and help me. I walked into the store not 1 not 2 not 3 but 4 TIMES! Going to the nearest ikea employee asking if anyone was available to help and I was rudely told that «theres someone in a construction vest out there». There was nobody and I was not the only customer who was frantically looking around for an employee, again I obviously cannot load the boxes into my truck on my own and you would think a store such as Ikea would have available staff to help the customers but instead I was treats as a chore and as if I was not a valued customer. The associate inside was looking at me as if it was MY fault that I couldn’t load the purchase into my car.
I am extremely respectful and polite customer and I do not deserve to be treated in such a way, but I also do not deserve to feel as if providing me with a service that I deserve is «asking for too much». I believe Ikea needs to better train their staff to handle the massive and busy store as I received 0 customer service while I was there and even the cashier was a little rude.

This Ikea location is a million times better than the one in North York in my opinion. Any time I’ve been (I usually stray from the weekends mind you) it’s not too busy, I don’t feel rushed or like I’m in the way if I stop to look at something. The complete opposite to North York, where I felt like I was in a zoo and on the brink of a panic attack.
It is not too difficult to find things, both the show room and the warehouse are well maintained and organized so if you expect to find something in aisle 12, it will be in aisle 12. Well, unless they’re sold out, but I haven’t encountered that either — so points for good stock!
There is ample parking, close to transit and even a free shuttle from Kipling station. How convenient!
I’ve been shopping at Ikea for a few years but it never even occurred to me to try the food, afterall my mission is usually for a specific piece of furniture and I end up leaving with a whole new décor scheme… I digress. I thought I’d start simple with a cinnamon bun, holy smokes it was fresh and delicious I ended up buying a case to take home.
The staff is friendly, I don’t know the benefit of being a member of the «ikea family» or whatever their member card is, in any event I don’t have one and the young man at the cash scanned his for me.
Can’t wait to have a reason to justify going back again soon

Well, it’s an IKEA. I really do miss having one near me, and so when I had an opportunity to go wander around and have some lunch, I leapt at the chance.
So yeah, it’s pretty standard. In fact the layout is almost exactly like the last US IKEA I was in, which is in Woodbridge, VA. It’s got the same inexpensive merchandise, the same decent level of customer service, and the same meatballs. If you need some inexpensive, decently made furniture or home accessories, this is the place for you.

I may have a mild obsession with IKEA… just a slight one I promise. Prices are reasonable, selection is fab and food is decent. I like that they are always changing up the displays and coming out with new things for people like me who can’t resist!

Is a day at Ikea your nightmare? Well, we’re opposites. I love it. I love it more than anyone I know, which is weird because I really dislike their furniture. I’m 30 and I feel strongly that I shouldn’t be able to assemble everything I own with an alan key.
It’s all about that marketplace (don’t want no treble). However, if you must get furniture here (for me it was baby stuff, and there are definitely certain things like closet systems, I concede Ikea just does best), you should know one thing: For about $ 100 they will come to your house and assemble it. What a revelation! Within two weeks of purchasing your closet system, crib or whatever someone will not only deliver it but assemble it. Annnnnd the villagers rejoice!

So I was here yesterday to look for 2 things. bottom line is, the store is to big and everything is just scattered all over the place. I got lost and the whole time couldn’t find what I was looking for. It was almost a waste of time for me, even to just go in there. And it’s PACKED. I left and didn’t find I thing. The furniture is affordable, yet cheap (breaks easily) but buying the simple things here, is really the way to go.

Of the IKEA locations close to me, this is the one I prefer to visit. On today’s visit, the item I was looking for was out of stock, which means, I’ll have to come back sometime. But anyways, there’s always good deals to be found at IKEA. There isn’t a store that has better priced shelves. Their cafeteria/​restaurant is decent and really busy. They have 99cent chocolate bars strategically placed at the checkout. Note to self, if you’re buying small items, bring your own bag, they don’t supply them anymore.

This is the worst IKEA. We spent almost $ 3000 on their wardrobes and had the worst experience. We payed extra to have the wardrobes assembled. After they assembled one we were told the other two for the kids room couldn’t be done because there were baseboards.
What home doesn’t have baseboards? Then we were told we had to either take off the baseboards or put 2x4s on the wall to make sure the wardrobes were secure. However they wouldn’t finish the assembly. And they would charge us another $ 89 to reschedule.
Maybe, having installed in many homes IKEA should have given us a heads up that «if your home has baseboards this is what you should do» before the delivery.
Cash grab. After spending more money than we wanted to. I didn’t even want them to come back. Decided to deal with the rest of the assembly without them. Of course they won’t give us any partial refund for the assembly charge that wasn’t complete. Horrible! Keep away from that Etobicoke IKEA

IKEA has the absolute worst customer service for mattress returns.
I bought a mattress and paid IKEA to pick it up as a return. The pick up was on the Friday and since I paid my debit, I was told to wait 2 days to get a refund. I called Tuesday to check if I can come in the store for the refund and the guy said to wait 1 more day so they can update their system. He did confirm that the delivery service picked up the mattress and that it shouldn’t be a problem. I called them today and the guy said, to wait another 5 days for the refund. I was on the phone for over 30 minutes and the guy even says it can take a month for the refund! I asked for the supervisor and he says I have to wait 24 – 48 hours for the manager to call me back. What!!! This service sucks! I will never again shop here!

I don’t understand why they won’t open a location in Mississauga! lol
The place is great. I love coming here and getting idea on home décor and find things to do the décor and fix up projects. There furniture is good but its a cumbersome process to put it all together.
Once you are in, you have to finish pretty much the entire store to get out. Make sure to write the numbers of the things you liked as you will have to pick them up in the end. The delivery is quite expensive so you are better off picking your larger item yourself unless you are buying alot.
The restaurant on site is quite good and reasonably priced. I missed the breakfast by 5 mins but there lunch wasn’t bad. I have fish and chips and it was decent.
The are also famous for they $ 1 yogurt which is located at the store near the exit… its very good.
Overall, its all about the experience! if you have time this place is good and its not for people who have to rush out.

I was doing some shopping at Ikea on Saturday with a friend and decided to stop into the restaurant to grab a quick bite to eat. Their pricing is really reasonable and the services is really quick. I had the famous meatballs with mash potatoes and cranberry sauce. As you would expect they were decent, but a little over cooked, but when you cover them in gravy they were really good.
The food helped me get enough energy to walk through the whole store and grab everything that I needed to get.

This past weekend, I came here twice in search for a particular bed.
First time I was browsing and noticed a bed on sale. NO ONE was in that particular section and I had to hunt them down.
Second time I came in with the purpose of purchasing the bed, but again NO ONE was in the section. I had to go to a neighbouring dept., stand in front of a couple workers who were chatting, wait for them to finish their conversation, and then they acknowledged me.
The girl who was supposed to be in the bed dept. was in the wardrobe dept. I asked if she had a measuring tape — not that cheapie paper measuring tape — and she did not have one. Fine. Then she asked if she needed to go into the bed dept with me, in which she just ended up using a computer nearby to look up inventory.
In the self-​serve dept. the bed was NOT located in the right area as per the tag on the item in the showroom. Again, I had to find an associate who was talking — fine, they were talking about work — wait for them to finish their thing, then I was acknowledged.
I asked where a particular item was and the told me and just pointed. Ultimately, the particular bed in the colour I wanted was NOT where associate said it was. Another colour was there, but not the one I wanted.
I left empty-​handed — partially because I was turned off about my whole experience at this store.
I realise that they’re not commission based, but why do I, as a customer, have to wait until workers finish their social conversation before I can ask my question? Do associates no longer show you where things are — as opposed to just pointing or following you to the dept. where assistance is required?
Am I just asking too much?

My second home next to Target and Walmart. IKEA is just one of those places you can waste time at. $ 2 dollar breakfast, $ 0.75 hotdogs? C’mon now? Don’t tell me you’ve never had Swedish meatballs?? Smoked salmon? Mac n cheese? Clearly, I’ve eaten too many times to count at IKEA, and wont ever stop. 25 years of warranty on couches, really? How could one go wrong? We only recently replaced our couch from our old IKEA couch of 12 years. It treated us well despite having a dog who likes cuddles on the couch. oh, and free childcare, I mean child play area? Leave the kids there for an hour and don’t pay a cent. The kids love it, and you can shop headache free. Win win win win win. Don’t forget the frozen yogurt or coffee after you’ve exhausted yourself in the as is section.

For those with tendencies toward self-​loathing or a serious lack of anything better to do, IKEA is wonderful. For everyone else it is an unnerving challenge.
The layout is a huge maze and you are the rat. The first time it is interesting, after that it’s like, did I really need to come here and walk 8 km just to get candles with a Swedish name or a cheap breakfast?
If you are really hankering for punishment, come on the weekend. The first line you will wait in is just to ask a question. There are more after that. Parking is chaotic, as you are one of thousands who decided that going to IKEA on the weekend was a good idea.
Most of the stuff is cheaper than average, yet it looks cheaper than average. Once you manage to get it home, spend hours putting it together or paying IKEA to do it, it doesn’t look as nice next to the other stuff you bought at yard sales or inherited.
Thus, the dilemma. Do you buy everything you own at IKEA so it looks uniform and nice like the displays in the store? OR Do you come here to navigate lines, a huge maze, and loads of people with small kids who came here to spend the day just to buy things like wooden coat hangers, candles, or coffee mugs that are good items, but can be found almost anywhere?

Before my sister and I went touring through IKEA, we had lunch in their restaurant (I haven’t eaten in their restaurant before). It was quite busy.
We both had Swedish meatballs (there were 10 to an order) and mashed potatoes.
Surprisingly it wasn’t bad. With a pop (refillable for free), it came to $ 7.90 (including taxes). I think the red stuff was supposed to be cranberry sauce … it was more like a sweet jam. The pop was really really warm so needed lots of ice.
I’d eat there again if I was at their store and hungry.

We visited Ikea this afternoon to have some cheap yummy food and to get ideas on how we would like our future place to look like. Okay, the trip was more to have some Ikea food lol.
It was quite busy and chaotic with all the kids running around in the kids section right by the café. They had several food options to choose from but Ikea is known for their Swedish meatballs so I ordered that. He got the roasted chicken and salad. The meatballs and the side of mashed potatoes were delicious! The roasted chicken was moist and better than the dry piece of chicken at Swiss Chalet.
Many tables were dirty and utensils were missing or lacking. It didn’t seem like there were many employees in the café cleaning up the area. My boyfriend had to wipe down our table before we sat down.
After eating we began our way through Ikea looking at the various showrooms. It’s not as chaotic as it is downstairs. The lines to get checked out were quite long so we decided to self-​checkout. The self-​checkout lines moved much faster but they don’t accept cash.
When I was a kid I hated going to Ikea because it was so boring! Now that I’m older I enjoy looking at the various showrooms and getting ideas for my future dream home.

It’s an IKEA… I’ve not really noticed any real differences between this an others been to. Staff is a bit bare at times. But I’ve noticed the same else where. The ones I’ve dealt with have been.
The breakfast is a guilty pleasure. It’s barely good but paying a $ 1.00 for a meal is amusing! Also bacon. Yes bacon makes it all worthwhile.
All in all decent.

Etape obligatoire pour équiper votre appart ou chambre quand vous venez d’enmménager. Le IKEA est présenté en 4 parties: le showroom avec les différents univers pour vous donner de l’inspiration dans vos achats, la cafeteria avec leurs célèbres «meet balls», les allées classiques pour acheter vos produits et pour finir le «pick up furniture area» où vous venez acheter vos meubles.
J’adore cette atmosphère où tout est possible en terme de déco, on se retient de né pas tout acheter.
Si vous avez vraiment beaucoup de meubles à acheter je vous conseille de vous faire livrer pour une trentaine de dollars, c’est un bon plan si vous achetez à plusieurs.
Sinon il y a toujours l’option location de camionnette ou bien pour les plus valeureux un bus s’arrête pas loin du magasin.

Vous en visitez un, vous avez visité tous les IKEA du monde entier! Mais on né s’en lasse pas pour autant, d’imaginer la chambre ou le salon qu’on pourrait avoir chez soi!!!
Parfait pour les petits budgets qui recherchent des meubles neufs !! Par contre il né faut pas avoir peur de passer 50min a 1h dans les transports avant d’atteindre le magasin!
