My boyfriend and I decided to get some gelato while spending the day in Elora and there were quite a few options when we got to town but we decided on Sweet Distractions. I am so happy that we did because the pistachio gelato I ordered and the cookies and crème my boyfriend had were amazing! The consistency was perfect; smooth and creamy! The flavor was spot on, tasted great and came with a complimentary waffle slice!
There were two women working while I went in and they were very pleasant, helped us out and let us try as many flavors of gelato that we wanted. The shop itself is small and quaint, with lots of sweet options. What caught my eye were the salt water taffy in many odd flavors such as maple bacon. Unfortunately I didn’t grab any, I am still regretting that but there is always next time because I will be back!

Sweet Distractions is an absolutely amazing shop with Vintage & Import Candy. It is about 6 or 7 doors down from the mill on the water.
I think this is a charming place to visit, bring your kids or just bring you if you are a kid at heart. The way the tempting treats are displayed proves that the owner, a sweet and lovely lady named Eva Lochner really cherishes the sweet delights as valued items to her warmly welcomed guests.
I love this shop. The service is impeccable and the treats offered are unique. Do you like fudge? They also have delightful fudge in a variety of flavours. The treats are sweet… go and experience Sweet Distractions.

This place was awesome. We wandered in here looking for ice cream after dinner down the street. Ice cream they didn’t have but they did have Gilatto which was very good. They have a big selection of candy and homemade sweets. The pretzels covered in toffee and walnuts are amazing.
