My family and I have frequented this location since it opened, and it has always been a favourite — until our most recent visit. We purchased 3 rice bowls and an assorted tempura, coming to around $ 40. Prior to this we have always found the portions to be generous and the quality excellent. This time however was a BIG disappointment. We took our order to go and when we arrived home were SHOCKED — the rice bowls were less than half full — even with the chicken and veggies on top the bowl was less than half full. When I called to let then know I was disappointed I was put on hold for a lengthy stretch then asked for my info and told the manager would call me back. I did receive that call back, 6 days later! I was then told that each bowl is weighed, and that the bowl wasn’t as full as usual because the rice wasn’t fully cooked, so I could have 1 free rice bowl and 10% off my next order. I have eaten plenty of rice in my life time(having even lived in Japan for a time), and I can assure that what little rice was there was fully cooked, and for a manager to tell me that I was wrong about what I was seeing because they didn’t fully prepare the food they were serving makes what was wrong even worse. «We didn’t short you on the food, we just didn’t cook it properly» seems like a ludicrous response, especially after taking 6 days to respond! Simply acknowledging that something was wrong and assuring the customer you will do your best to remedy this in the future would go a long way in lieu of deflection and excuses. I did not complain so I could get free food, and infact will not be taking them up on this offer as I fully intend on never eating there again, and did relate this fact to the manager. What once was a neighbourhood favourite has now become a complete no go instead — poor quality and poor service will do that to customers.

I’ve taken out sushi/rice bowls from here a handful of times and have never been disappointed. It tastes like quality sushi — not that tinny/super fishy taste! Staff is always super friendly and service is quick! I’m excited to keep going back to try different items on the menu!

This is one of my favourite sushi restaurants in the city, I love that their tables have swings for chairs! The price is decent and the sushi quality is good

Another great hidden treasure in Edmonton. The food was super fresh and Delish and the swings were so much fun. Awesome place for everyday eating as well as a fun date place! Go try this place as soon as you can

Amazing place to stop for a quick lunch. The sushi was good and the bento box was amazing. I ordered a tempura bento. It was freshly prepared and the portions were good. The tempura was light and crispy and the yaki soba was tasty. The kids enjoyed the dragon roll and dynamite roll. The staff was excellent, very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is very well looked after and the swing benches are a nice touch. I will definitely be back again for a quick sushi fix.

The food quality here is way better than Tokyo Express in my opinion. I am not a fan though of their Sushi menu. Panko Salmon Bowl and Pork Loin Bowl highly recommended!

Quick dinner tonight at this Teriyaki Corner. We have been to the one in summer side and this one was similar. Food can be taken out or eaten there. Service was prompt. We ordered the dragon roll that was deep fried with crispy tempura, spicy salmon, avocado & cucumber as well as the yakitori(grilled chicken) rice bowl. Very delicious! Also very well staffed as there were at least 6 people in the kitchen working away. Definitely a place to go to for a quick lunch or dinner. There is also bubble tea!

This is a great little family restaurant. I didn’t go on any particular recommendation but merely because it’s close to my Doctor’s office. I’m glad I stopped in. The service is fast and friendly and prices are average. The food, while not spectacular, is above average and fresh. I liked the dragon rolls and the bento box looked good too.

We ordered salmon. It wasnt very fresh and was deep fried. If they cant make fresh salmon they shoukd take it off the menu.

Teriyaki Corner is my go to fast food sushi place in the city. The food is always fresh & consistent and the staff is always friendly. As far as I’m concerned nothing else in the city comes close for quick sushi. If you’re expecting Mikado, Japonais Bistro, or Izakaya-Tomo quality you might be disappointed but if you want something reasonably priced and fast then this is your joint. I usually go to the Hamptons location where I find the consistency slightly better than the Ellerslie location but overall both are great. They are opening another one in my area soon(Windermere) so I can’t wait to try that one too. If I don’t get their delicious spicy salmon & dragon rolls I usually opt for their teriyaki chicken rice bowl with spicy sauce. It always satisfies. You can phone ahead and call your order in too for a quick up!

I’m surprised to read others think their prices are reasonable. For what you get they are expensive. Food is ok but pricey for the quality and portion size

Good, fast Japanese food; nicer ambiance than a food court. I ordered Panko Salmon but when I got it, was surprised to see that it was deep fried. They were great about changing my order to something else that I would enjoy(beef rice bowl) — even returning the extra change for the lower price meal. Thank you!

Went to this place with one other person and decided to order a few invidual items rather than a bento box or a rice bowl. Upon looking at the menu, the prices seemed pretty reasonable and maybe just below average for a Japanese restaurant, but the big difference is that you’re not fully served. Instead, you order at the front and they bring your food to you. The environment was very clean and relaxing so no complaints there. The actual food was ok, and I’d say somewhat on par with the price. We had a 4 piece dragon roll, some salmon sashimi, one of the assorted sushi combos and a couple of cones. Of those, probably the dragon roll and the sashimi were the best, though they were not the best I’ve ever had but that’s OK considering price and what the restaurant appeared to offer. There wasn’t particularly anything wrong witht he cones and the sushi combo, but they weren’t exactly all that great either. Overall, I was satisfied with my visit there. I’d definitely go there again to try some other stuff, and wouldn’t mind recommending the restaurant to others. The only catch is I’d definitely make sure that they don’t go there with high expectations, but rather just go to have some average-priced Japanese food to fill their stomachs.

I’ve been going to this restaurant pretty much since it opened(my friends live in that neighborhood), and I’ve always enjoyed the food there. Reasonably priced, decent balance of sushi and hot dishes, and a fairly novel seating arrangement. Several of the tables have swings as seats. Give them a try, it’s kind of cool. Be sure to keep a bib handy, though. Just in case. Oh, and try the pan-fried noodle. Trust me on this one.

I’ve tried this several times and I find it to just be average. The first time there I ordered chicken teriyaki with rice. It was alright, but nothin special. The second time my girlfriend order a bento box… again it was just average. Here’s the kicker, my last time there I order spicy salmon rolls and they were way bellow average. The salmon was non existent in taste and poorly made. I was very disappointed in the quality of the roll and the taste. No thank you. Price is also an issue for me. You can’t charge me $ 12 for such a lackluster sushi roll. Overpriced and under quality.
