Speedtech Edmonton

speedtech is an excellent shop the owner and mechanic is very good at what he does i wouldnt dream of taking my car to someone else as i have seen first hand the bad work some performance shops do. customer service here is great i have always left happy or satisfied

I’ve always been really happy with the service I get from speedtech. They are knowledgeable and helpful. They brought in the clutch for my Sr and it was fairly priced and came quickly.
Every time I leave this place I leave satisfied and excited to do the next thing on my car!

Here is what I came to get done and the process I went through at Speedtech.
Gauge pod install (boost, oil pressure and water) — simple install for most shops
I will keep this one very short as I simply want to state why I never came back here. I bought a set of gauges and an employee managing at the time from Speedtech tells me he has a mechanic that can put them on easily and it will be around $ 100. I’m thinking «great that sounds reasonable», I’ll drive down, have them installed and wait an hour or so to get my car. I get in at around 10am and leave at around 5−6pm in the evening (wasting an entire day of work). Only 2 of the gauges installed work and the mechanic can’t get the water sensor to work properly (the gauge kit came with all parts and accessories needed for installation specific to the vehicle and was brand new).
I am charged for around 6hrs of service along with various nuts and bolts they used totaling around $ 500 – 600. What an insane price for bad wiring and 2 out of 3 gauges actually worked! I wasted an entire day waiting for my car and was overcharged an amount in which I could have bought a set of Defi gauges!
Around a year later only the boost gauge worked and I had another shop (where I live now) fix the other two gauges for around $ 40 for both. Needless to say I can’t recommend this place and would never come back.
