The Lodge at Snow Valley now features Chef Leo, our own Red Seal Chef, full service amenities along spectacular views during the summer for weddings, corporate events and other functions.

Edmonton’s premier family ski destination offers lessons and programs for all levels and abilities. Snow Valley is the perfect place for beginners to learn and experienced riders to prepare for the mountains. We also offer rentals, a retail shop with a service shop and full concession.

History

Established in 1948.

Skiers began regularly using the slopes at Snow Valley back in 1948. By 1953 the first tow rope was in service and in 1961, Snow Valley Ski Club was incorporated. A Quonset hut was replaced in 1974 with a new lodge. In 1982, Snow Valley Ski Club took over operations from the City of Edmonton, though it is still City land. By 1988 a Triple chairlift was installed, along with expanded snow making capability. A new carpet lift and a 17,800-square-foot (1,650 m2) lodge was constructed in 2001. A second carpet lift replaced the handle tow in 2003. In 2008, Snow Valley opened a first-​of-​its-​kind high-​speed ‘pulse’ quad chair. Snow Valley also runs Rainbow Valley Campground.

Gina is our Food Services Manager and has extensive experience in booking, planning and executing weddings, meetings, and corporate events. Her experience comes from significant time at The Royal Glenora Club and The Derrick Golf and Winter Club.
