When I was growing up my mom always took our shoes for polishing to Shoemaster. So, naturally, I found one in my local mall when I moved away and my mother no longer handled my shoe care needs. While Shoemaster is a chain, a shoe store is only as good as the cobbler who mends the footwear. At Kingsway, the couple who work here are so committed to their craft. They’re small on words but big on results, and they don’t overcharge you. I had a pair of my favourite boots re-zippered here and several pairs of shoes re-heeled. They work quickly and if it’s not busy, you can pick up your stuff the same day, or if it’s a larger job they get you to come back in a couple of days. They’ve always charged a reasonable rate and their work has endured many seasons. I’m still wearing my boots! Thanks, Kingsway Shoemasters.
