We offer premium Dog Daycare, Grooming, and Training all under one roof. Food, treats, toys and other pet supplies are available with Sadie’s Pet Stop on location.

Our spacious facility incorporates 4000 sq ft of indoor play area, comfortable flooring, cozy beds, and sturdy play equipment. Our large outdoor play and exercise area offers 8500 sq ft of secure, supervised, off-​leash fun! Interactive games along with plenty of mental and physical exercise will send your dog home fulfilled and ready for a nap!

We want you to be comfortable leaving your pets in our care. Daycare Attendants are always with the playgroup, supervising to make sure all dogs are having fun! Our experienced staff are trained in canine behavior and communication in addition to certification in Pet First Aid. To ensure daycare is right for each dog, they must pass a behavioral assessment prior to attending. We have strict vaccination protocols and require all dogs over 6 months to be spayed/​neutered.

History

Established in 2008.

What began as a creative way for the owner to provide daycare for his Border Collie «Sadie», has developed into 2 Pet Stop locations and a dedicated Dog Daycare & Training Centre.

Though Sadie passed away at the age of 17, her hard working instincts and positive spirit live on in her stores & in the Daycare. Since our company opened its doors in 1996, we’ve treated every customer (human & canine) like they are a part of our family.

We are passionate supporters of animal rescue in our community. We also host adoption events to assist in finding homes for rescued animals.

This daycare is fantastic! They always take the time to treat me and my dog with the utmost care and attention. Not only are they flexible and fantastic with arranging dates/​times, but they are always willing to answer any question. Upon visiting this location during the day you’ll notice PLENTY of staff. Dogs are never left unattended and are always encouraged to be engaging in positive play. They have tons of space and multiple rooms to ensure our dogs are always in a group of well suited pups. I have, on various occasions, gone into the facility with questions or concerns about my dog’s behaviour and they have always gone out of their way to give me suggestions and tips along with articles and brochures that could also help. I trust their staff completely; everyone is always kind to the dogs and they have pet first aid which is awesome. They are constantly providing feedback AND report cards!!! How great is that! I would and DO go out of my way to recommend this daycare to anyone and everyone who has a furry loved one.

We rescued a 1 year old dog a few months back and we quickly realized and she had more energy to burn then we did!
Enter Sadie’s K9 Stay and Play!
First we had to book an assessment, where our dog was slowly introduced to that day’s pack of dogs and then observed to see how socialised she is. The lady running the assessment was very knowledgeable when it came to dog behaviour and she talked us through the types of things she would be trying with our dog, and what our dog’s various responses meant.
After that, our dog was in! We do 1 – 2 days a week and our dog comes home absolutely BEAT. She loves going there and we’ve noticed a change in how she deals with other dogs since she’s started attending. (She’s learned how to read other dog’s better and not to try and play too hard with senior dogs).
The people who work there are fantastic. Whenever we have a question they are more then happy to assist. I’ve watched them interact with the dogs and you can tell that they are in charge. They have a very calm approach when dealing with the dogs, or breaking up play that is too rough.
They have a large indoor area, and an outdoor area. The place is always very clean.
They also have a web cam, so I can creep on my puppy while I’m at work!

We were referred to obedience classes at Sadie’s by a friend, and are so, SO glad we called them up!
In addition to a huge doggie daycare (with a pup cam you can watch your pooches on during the day, and daily Instagram photos of the patrons), Sadie’s also offers a 5 Star doggie school.
Our trainer was Alecia. She was friendly, knowledgeable and approachable. She was an excellent medium for dog-​to-​people communication. She teaches a positive reinforcement style (no hitting or clicker here) and it really, really worked for us. Our once hooligan 120lb Great Pyrenees/​Golden Retriever cross has been lovingly tamed and now has excellent recall and manors.
Since graduation, we have even stopped by and she remembered us and our dog (by name!) and was available for some troubleshooting in regards to introducing our dog to our new renter’s surly American Staffy.
Sadie’s also offers discounts for rescues; to me, this only reinforces their love for dogs over business.
I can’t say enough good things about Sadie’s and HIGHLY recommend.

Sadie’s K9 Stay and Play saved me and my dog. When Lola, my weimaraner, first came to us (as a rescue), she was a puppy with a lot of issues — separation anxiety, biting, jumping up… just way, way, way too much undirected energy. In fact, although I didn’t really need a dog daycare because I worked from home, I needed to get away from my puppy because she was driving me crazy!
Lola spent about a year being ‘a daycare dog’ once or twice a week. During that time, Alecia — the daycare manager, and the rest of the daycare staff did everything possible to help calm Lola down. On days where she was really wired, they trained her to run on the treadmill. Occasionally, she ‘worked’ in the office with Alecia. The staff at Sadie’s really went ABOVE AND BEYOND as they researched the breed and techniques to help (mostly with her anxiety over being separated from me). They also put me in touch with a remarkable trainer that helped me even further with Lola.
Last spring, we decided Lola wasn’t really cut out for daycare… but the great thing was — she was manageable. I can honestly say that Lola is a ‘good dog’ now, and Sadie’s K Stay and Play has a lot to do with that!

We love Sadie’s! I am a new dog owner and signed our rescue pup up for Basics Training. We had a great time, learned so much and felt really supported by the knowledgeable and approachable trainers and other staff. I’m now in the Advanced Training and enjoying it also — and the prices are very decent for good quality instruction and class time.
They have a daycare which we’ve just started going to and I think they almost love my dog as much (or more) than I do! I have no issues leaving him there because of the huge amount of love and attention they show us — you can tell they truly, 100% are passionate about dogs and it has certainly inspired me to learn more and foster a deeper bond with my dog. They are patient and engaged every time I ask a million questions and do not adopt a ‘one method fits all’ mentality when working with you and your dogs. I also find the other patrons to be very friendly towards one another, which speaks to it’s positive community-​minded atmosphere.
They have a shop with toys and food, and grooming services available as well. The Sadie’s staff also seem pretty involved with local rescue and foster agencies… it definitely has more of a ‘community centre’ for dogs vibe than just a business. Great work Sadie’s!
