I had an excellent experience here, which is not something that I can say I have ever said about a trip to the Walk-in Clinic. It’s easy to find, really good parking and there’s a Shopper’s right beside for one-stop-shop filling any prescription you may leave with. I got in line at 8:45am on a Wednesday(doors open at 8:45am, they start seeing patients at 9am). I was 3rd in line and I was in and out of the clinic in less than half an hour. That’s worth 5 stars alone. The staff were über helpful and friendly. I have an out of province health card and they were able to answer all my questions and even give me advice on claiming back the fee for my visit. They certainly went above and beyond. In the hour or so I was there(after filling my prescription next door) it didn’t get very busy the whole time. Perhaps its off the beaten path and a little out of the way and that’s what keeps it less busy than most clinics. Whatever it may be it’s a welcome surprise and definitely worth the drive to this particular Medicenter. This will be my go to clinic in the future.

I was sick a few weeks ago and needed medication immediately. For some reason, other locations would not give me their wait time over their phone. I did could not understand this, yet the Medicenter in Riverbend told me they could take me in right away. I didn’t believe them, but when I showed up 20 minutes later, such enough they took me in. I was really impressed with this service. The staff were courteous and they made sure I was in and out in no time. This is quite a change from some of the usual west end locations I go to. The overall cleanliness of the facility was also inviting, and I almost would not be hesitant for them to take me in. Good marks for being friendly and offering quick service… take note other city Medicenters!

I dropped into this medicentre once because I was sick as a dog, and my mouth literally dropped open when they took me in right away. That never happens in the inner city, where medicentres are jam packed and you have to wait about an hour for your name to get to the top of the list. From now on, I won’t bother going to the Jasper one or the one on 50th street, near Capilano mall. This one’s worth the drive, and if you go first thing in the morning, you might just get lucky like I did. Also, it’s full of sunlight and a newer, cleaner space compared with the more run-down clinics in the city centre.
