Princess & the Pea

Although I don’t have children of my own, I buy most of my baby gifts from this store, particularly when I am looking for something unique or of great quality. The service is excellent and the two sisters who own the shop provide very useful advice. Although the prices tend to be on the high side, you definitely get what you pay for — plus, I’d rather buy one or two very special items and support a locally owned independent business than spend my money on buckets of cheap thrills at a national chain store.

This is the shop of the ‘little housewives of edmonton’ — great if you have more money than brains and really great if you are a wanna be housewife of NYC: shallow and not needed!
Terrible customer service which only seems to cater to their ‘buddy’s and talk about snobs that work here! If you are not about the latest in name brand apparel then you are a complete loser according to the princess and pea philosophy and that means what you are wearing as well too!
As well, get the impression that they think you about to swipe something because they lear at you (in a not so nice way).
I would just go online to purchase the same stuff for cheaper without the leering, snobbery and hassle!

I don’t have kids of my own but I do have a fair number of kids in my life. This fact frequently brings me to kids stores for gifts! The Princess and the Pea is one of my favorites for books and clothes. They have tons of selection for toddlers mostly, and some books and toys for kids up to 5 or 6 years old. They also have great stuff for newborns including soft blankets and clothing. They have a lot of wooden European made toys that I haven’t been able to find anywhere else. A particular favorite I have bought for some of the kids in my life is a set of dress up animals. They are little wood figurines that you can dress up to be zebras, cheetahs and other animals! Not only are they cute, but they also help develop tactile skills as kids learn to do up buttons to keep the animal clothes on. This is a great place to check out if you need a gift for a special kiddo in your life!
