I love Pottery Barn! The Christmas season is my favourite time to go in, as the whole store feels warm and homey. They always have a lovely selection of ornaments, and there we’re several this her that I would have gone home with if we were doing a tree this year. I also fell in love with their outside dishwater this summer. It looks beautiful, but they crafted it out of plastic for durability. I’ve never had a problem with service, and the store has even offered to hold heavy items for us after purchase until we were done our shopping for the day.

So a grain of salt with this review because Arc talking about décor is like a bull in a china shop. That being said I do like pottery barn. I have spent an hour in the store once carefully scanning inside for household items. The quality here is nuts! I think it is punctuated by the bed frames. I challenge you to grab a headboard or a bed post and give it shake. Then do so at other establishments. The difference is stark. Then knock on the wood. It’s solid. That’s good stuff! But then again what do I know! Service here has always been great. Always asking if you need help, then telling you a little about the product. Always friendly. I have an unhealthy obsession with the pottery barn so it’s best I stay away for a while lest my wallet suffer the consequences.

At last, Pottery Barn has come to Edmonton! I was so excited to be walking past the store at WEM the other day and see it was finally open! The store is absolutely gorgeous, a home decorator’s dream come true. Right now the store is decked out from floor to ceiling in fall décor, so everything is cozy cozy cozy. Yes, that needed to be said 3x. Tall birch trees for ambiance, huge knit blankets and pillows and not a shortage of cute owl-themed accessories. I love the office desks on display with their old world charm. A really neat product to check out is the seemingly old school rotary phones they have, but when you pick up the receiver you’ll see it actually has touch-tone buttons. Of course, prettiness don’t come cheap so things cost a pretty penny here. The fall stuff is slowly being marked down to make way for the holiday season though. And if you want to stock up on Halloween décor for next year, there’s also some great stuff on sale now too.

What a beautiful new store! If you’ve walked past it in the mall, all you’ll see is a construction wall. I’ve taken little sneak-peeks and it’s turning out really well. Can’t wait to give you a full review when they open… Stay tuned…
