Crappy service, whoever runs this location’s email
is incredibly rude and incoherent. I have ordered from here twice and it was way too greasy and not correct in my order.
The last order didn’t even arrive at the correct address because the location «looked closed» when in reality they didn’t bother to knock on the door of a business that had its lights on! I then received a pretty crappy email saying it’s my fault. The email pinned me for «wasting their food» and that I «hopefully don’t waste their food next time».
I used to really like the service but this location isn’t in my good books. Too bad! They lost a whole business full of potential regular customers.

I’ve been to two other oodle noodles locations, by far this was the worst one. While i was ordering my food i got the hotbox with chicken in it and the lady that was taking my order was on the phone (that does not bother me if they have to do other things while taking orders). But when i go my order it wasn’t what i ordered instead of the chicken they gave me noodles with beef in it. It’s just my preference and i rather have what i actually ordered and paid for, so i told them this is not what i ordered the server looked mad and gave me a weird look i didn’t bother saying anything else since i was with my gf. So i had some trust in them but i still got up to see when they were making my meal again… I saw my old plate it was sitting there ready to be used again it was smeared with grease from the old noodles it looked gross so i told them that if they can put the noodles in a box. They’re like okay. So after i sat down to eat i was thankful for their service until i found small pieces of beef in my chicken hotbox order. It was disgusting how they just took out the old meat and recooked the same noodles which were more soggy this time. This was the worst experience at any restaurant or fast food place i ever been to and my gf witnessed this all with me but i didn’t want to talk with the servers since they just give you an attitude and walk away like you’re getting it for free or something. Instead i just went to a closer by a&w restaurant and had better food there.

Let me say first that I LOVE the food here. You don’t even know how much I love it.
However, I’m not happy with the problems I’ve been having with delivery. I recently changed my address, and every time I order for delivery, the delivery driver goes to the wrong apartment. I have requested that my address be changed in the system several times, but I still get angry phone calls from delivery drivers telling me I put down the wrong address.

Wonton soup and spring rolls were OK. Pretty much as expected. The Pad Thai was not edible. I literally threw it out after two bites. It was extremely salty and had a nasty taste to it. Worst I’ve had. I would stay clear of this place in the future

Technically I would give the food 4 stars. It actually tasted fairly fresh — when we actually GOT it the first time we ordered. It took an hour — but again, at least it arrived that time.
Today was the second time we ordered. We came home from a long, exhausting road trip — extremely hungry. Ordered our food, and waited for 1 hour and 45 minutes. Nobody called us to let us know it would be late, no estimate was given .if we had been told the delivery would take longer, we would’ve just gone and picked it up ourselves. We’re not the kind of people who expect everything super snappy and flawless. But we DO expect a heads-​up if a delivery will be taking almost 2 hours. I tried calling to check on the status of the order… nobody picked up. Called a second time to cancel… nobody picked up.
The guy finally called after an hour and 45 minutes, and I explained I didn’t want the order as we had waited so long and nobody even picked up the phone when we tried to call… I got a «no worries». Umm. I’m not worried. But YOU should say sorry and apologize on behalf of Oodle Noodle, not tell me not to worry that my order wasn’t delivered in a timely manner/​that I wasn’t called and given the opportunity to pick it up myself.
Went ahead and ordered with Panago (even though I was really looking forward to a nice bowl of hot soup from Oodle Noodle after 10 hours in a cramped vehicle), and our food arrived after 25 minutes.
If Oodle Noodle can’t provide proper delivery service, they really have no business offering delivery service.

Ordered a beef Tokyo glaze half an hour ago, the employee explicitly called out «beef Tokyo glaze» when it was ready, I got back to work, opened it and there was no meat whatsoever in it. What a rip off, and totally consistent with their inability to get orders correct.
I actually quite like Oodle Noodle when it’s done properly, but this was the last strike for this particular location and I will not be back.

Here I sit, my sides groaning in anticipation of a regrettable washroom incident-​to-​come thanks to Oodle Noodle.
Tasteless wonton soup, greasy rice, and chicken literally scorched from whatever unsubtle mechanism they used to cook it.
Absolutely the worst Chinese food I’ve had in years. I don’t even know if you could fairly call it Chinese food; Thai and Indian dishes are mixed in with all the subtlety of a toddler’s fingerpaints.
And now, stomach aching and mouth parched, I debate with myself whether or not to curse my future self with gastrointestinal agony, or to simply throw the rest away.
The rubbery onion cakes were pretty good, though.

I was downtown to visit Wee Book Inn around lunchtime so I decided to stop in here when my afternoon hunger hit. They have alot of options available and it felt like more compared to their number one competitor Wok Box. The prices look comparable but Oodle Noodle has Wok Box beaten when it comes to portion size as well as taste.
With a small pop my meal came to almost $ 11.00 but half way in this thing had me beaten and I was getting quite full. If your like me and find it too much for an extra $ 1.75 you can get another box and have it split between the two to share with a friend. I ordered the Tokyo glaze and really enjoyed their teriyaki sauce as well as the tofu. I have to say though it was a little bit skimpy on the chicken and im always leery of restaurants that do this as it seems like a sneaky way to motivate people to order with the double meat option and get more money out their wallets.
It’s definitely not fine dining but if you need fresh food fast it’s a good option. They also do delivery to accommodate the busy downtown office crowd.

While some people might rave about Oodle Noodle, and while I do enjoy their fare every now and again, it’s not my favourite. I often find that their dishes are not flavourful enough and sometimes the veggie mix includes too much celery and onions for my happiness. That said, they do have some delightful dishes and I absolutely adore their tofu (to the extent that I choose tofu over chicken, beef or shrimp in almost every dish that I get from them.
The item I order from them the most frequently is the Jungle Curry Cambogee. It’s a nice mix of being flavourful and filling. This location plays good music and includes a nice chalk wall. But their tvs have generally uninteresting content on them (tweets that I could see on my twitterfeed the last time I visited). I’m not actually fond of how much they bash pizza in their twitter feed as I do actually like pizza as well.
Delivery is pretty darn slow generally which frustrates me as it is advertised all over their twitter and their restaurant itself. But generally Oodle Noodle is pretty decent.

So Oodle Noodle is not fine dining — but it’s not half-​bad either. I’m not of Asian descent so I can’t really comment on how authentic or inauthentic the food is. But I like it and they basically have the noodle box market cornered in the city. Their only real competitor seems to be Wok Box, but they’re really, really terrible. So if you’re just looking for a meal-​sized box with some noodles, vegetables, protein and a tasty sauce, it’s a good option. I’m always on the hunt for good take-​out places that don’t serve a burger, so I’m a big Oodle Noodle fan.

It used to be pretty decent, but… I got a pad thai today, it was an absolute disaster — way too salty, dry (barely any sauce), 5 tiny tiny pieces of chicken and only 2 skinny shrimps. What a waste of money! Will not be coming back.

First off, I love their name. Oodle Noodle… just rolls off your tongue, doesn’t it?
Oodle noodle has, in my opinion, the best Green Onion Cakes in the city! Always get them, don’t even think about it, just purchase and enjoy!
All the noodle boxes I’ve tried have been delish, though I’m not very keen on their Pad Thai. It’s good just not my favorite.
This is a great spot to go for take out or eat in, it’s quick and easy and way better than your normal take out/​drive thru options.

Was here about a year ago with my husband and shared a delicious meal. With those memories we headed back there last weekend and I decided to try something new, the Pad Thai. Very disappointing. Portion sizes are huge here and the staff was very friendly! :)

Oodle Noodle isn’t subtle, but good in a pinch when you want some quick takeout at a reasonable price. Oodle Noodle sources it’s tofu here in Edmonton and my wife thinks it’s awesome.
We had one issue with this location, My wife ordered her noodles mild, but they were a bit too spicy for her current palate. We didn’t run into this problem at the west end location.

Reviewing Oodle is like finding eats at 2:30 am, a challenge … especially if you were inebriated when writing the draft review!
+‘s: 1. Open until 3am on party days. That alone makes this place special. Like an oasis in the desert! 2. Noodles soak up alcohol … at least I’ve convinced myself it does. 3. Pretty clean 4. Reasonably priced/​large portions 5. Have stand up arcade game which provides at least 5 minutes of conversation. 6. Easy take out. 7. Cooked right in front of you. 8. Ample seating space.
-‘s: 1. I find the food salty. Like soy sauce had a love child with table salt and gave birth into a vat of ocean water. Next time I’ll need to add hot sauce to mask that salt. 2. Takes a little time to cook. 3. Too juicy to control with utensils.
All in all, I probably wouldn’t come here sober. But late night when options are few … that’s another story!

Someone, give me extra bottles of water, please! I had the Pad Thai for lunch and one litre of water is still not enough to drown the over-​powering saltiness of the sauce. I mean, do the staff ever taste what they cook? I did say ‘not too much sauce, please.’
Before Oodle Noodle (first location on Whyte) earned its stars from the likes of VuE Weekly and such, it used to be good. It had a real cook. Then, it got popular and busy and opened a new location in the West side of the city. I remember bringing my kung pao noodle-​box back to the Whyte Ave location and asked them to taste it. It tasted like they put at least three tablespoonfuls of salt — my tongue was numbed beyond belief. It was painful to eat. The owner apologized and gave me a new box. But with the downtown location, many years later, I still experience the same problem. Eh, I thought there was a Health Canada salt-​reduction program since June 2012.
If you can’t find Sidekick’s missing salt shaker, it is hiding in Oodle Noodle’s kitchens.

You know, I really like this place! It’s fun watching your food get prepared, the vintage arcade machine in the corner is an anachronistic hoot, and the chalkboard wall is a great way to pass the time.
Oh, and the food is yummy too. Thousand Year Flavour is my absolute favourite and the portions are so generous that I can never finish it all. I’ve had the Butter Chicken too, but that one isn’t their strong suit.
If I ever need a fast food bite downtown, this is the place to go.

Oodle Noodle, you are very oodley and noodley indeed, a surprisingly delicious treat for my starving stomach over the noon hour yesterday.
I got the… something that started with S, with chicken. The helpfully descriptive menu let me know that I was ordering a spicy dish with mandarin noodles and veggies. The veggies were actually pretty decent, the chicken was good, and I loved the noodles. I didn’t find the dish to be spicy at all, which was a letdown (I bought a bottle of water in anticipation), but it was still flavourful all the same.
With a drink, you’ll spend about $ 10 on lunch here. I felt full but not gross afterward, which is a place I think I always want to be.
Very accessible location on Jasper. Food was prompt and staff were friendly.

I have never tried Oodle Noodle, so I thought I’d try it out when I was in the area… When I walked in no one said hello, there were two workers sitting talking, one cleaning and the other behind the counter. They had some hard rap blaring out the speakers, and I just found the whole place to have a hard rigid atmosphere. Which made me not want to stay and eat, so I got take out.
I ordered the hot Oodle noodle box, which had chow mein, veggies, chili and schezwan sauce and I choose chicken.
The sauce was tasty and a little spicy (I love spice) And the chowmein was good too, but I can’t say the same for anything else. The chicken was horrid, it tasted like it was boiled and then grilled with the sauce just on the outside to coat. It also kind of had a fishy flavor, and the veggies (which consisted of carrots and some celery and white onion) tasted just like the chicken which was awful.
They give you A LOT for what you pay, but I didn’t even eat half since I couldn’t stomach the flavor of the chicken.
I also bought a bottled coke, so in total I paid around $ 11.50.
I think ill stick to Wok box from now on, you may get lesser portions but at least it tastes good.

The Whyte ave location of Oodle Noodle was one of my favourite places to go for a bite when I lived near campus, and I was pretty pumped to see the downtown location open up.
I prefer the food here over similar places like Wok Box. I think their ingredients are fresher and I find the dishes much more flavourful. The portions are pretty big too… I can get two meals out of one of their noodle boxes. It costs a bit more than stopping at Subway next door, but the extra deliciousness is worth it.
This location in particular has monthly specials, student discounts, and a very fun atmosphere, compared to other quick meal places. The music is loud and the staff is very outgoing and friendly. And the cooking itself is a bit of a show.
