Liquor Select has been in business for over 15 years, and is known throughout Alberta for Fine Wine, Incredible Staff, Educational and Entertaining Tastings and Comprehensive Selection. The store is a hallmark for wine selection, with over 4000 labels, from verticals of famous Bordeaux estates, to the trendiest wines from Argentina and Spain. The selection at Liquor Select does not stop at wine though! Liquor Select has one of the largest Single Malt Scotch, premium spirit and import & specialty beer selections in Edmonton. Liquor Select holds frequent tastings including scotch sampling every Sunday afternoon, Christmas, spring and beer festivals.

Meet the Business Owner

Nancy F.

Business Owner

Nancy has been in the Wine & Spirit business for over a decade, and loves her work at Liquor Select. «Owning a fine wine store is a great deal of hard work, but the amazing people and the passion make it a lot of fun too!», says Nancy.

She started off in the nursing profession, but opened Liquor Select in September 1994, shortly after deregulation. Her favorite part of the wine world is the amazing people she meets from all walks of life, but also enjoys the ever changing styles of wine and new products too. She is extremely proud of the work that has been done at the store over the years, and looks forward to many more years of fun, fine wine and great customers.

Her store has been given two ALSA «Liquor Store of the Year» awards. In 2005 she was featured in Vendor magazine, named as one of the most influential and respected women in the liquor business. Nancy appreciates the strong customer support and fine relationships she has built through the years.
