Need a hearing test? Ihear Unicare offers this for about $ 40. Unfortunately, my benefits didn’t cover the cost. When I arrived for my appointment, I didn’t have to wait long to see the practitioner. She asked me questions about why I was getting a test and my hearing issues.
The test took about 45 minutes where I was seated in a room and put in earphones to hear a series of beeps. The practitioner was seating outside and making notes and markings based on my responses. She showed me the results after and explained what could be happening. The results were shared with my doctor promptly after the test.
For subsequent visits, I redid part of the test and wasn’t charged. The practitioner was helpful and took her time to explain things. They also offer suggestions on hearing aids and will help with adjustments and also sell batteries.
