Came in as it was close to work and being new to the area I wasn’t sure what to expect. I ordered the bento box A and although the items were decent, I would have preferred that instead of the chunky, low grade sushi roll, that they do a fresh small salad or something cold to break up all the fried items. Orange chicken was good and the tempura was different as they incorporated some tempura broccoli which was interesting. I would come again but maybe opt for something other than the box. Staff were nice and the price point was valid for the food served.

Awesome place! Great priced food, huge portions and the best ginger beef we’ve had in a long time. I am looking forward to trying the vietnamese subs next time we are in. Edit: I’ve now had the bbq beef Vietnamese sub and it was everything you could expect and more. HUGEDELICIOUS sub! Pickled veggies on point, perfectly flavored meat(with cooked onions), and just enough mayo. Damn Fusion Wok, you’re good.

Honestly I was not a fan. I ordered a bento box with ginger chicken, green onion cake, spring roll, and chicken fried rice. I did not care for the green onion cake or spring rolls. Chicken was okay. Portion was decent. This place smells like a fryer when you walk in. Maybe from years of being a McD’s or maybe they need better fans/ventilation. I felt quite sick about 30 Minutes after eating. Not sure what from but I won’t be going back.

Don’t let the restaurant’s name put you off. This week, my husband and I walked into this restaurant, not knowing what to expect. The name is confusing: we were expecting Westernized Asian dishes, but it’s a bit far from that. Our experience superceded our expectations of the restaurant’s name. Fusion Wok serves a fusion of different Asian dishes, ranging from Chinese to Thai and Vietnamese. Everything we’ve ordered was fresh! I ordered the bento box with red curry while hubby ordered pad thai bento box with green curry. It also came with cute gyozas and spring rolls, along with a side of vegetables. Verdict? Gotta say, love the red curry hands down. I asked the owner if we could tame it down since hubby can’t eat too spicy. Heard her say in Mandarin to tell her cook to add more coconut milk. YUM! Each mouthful took me back to simpler times when I was a kid; the carrot are cut up just right — big chunks, which makes the curry delectable and naturally sweet without the addition of sugar. Her curries come moderately spiced. Even the green curry(which is generally milder than red curries) had decent heat without being too mild or spicy. Hubby was floored. It’s not easy to impress him sometimes — he’s learnt from me what is good Asian food, with some travelling. He pretty much was like, «Don’t forget to write a Unilocal review for this restaurant!»(which is really rare) And because I have a habit of eavesdropping(sorry not sorry), I caught on that the restaurant delivers!(The order was heading to somewhere close to train tracks, was what I made out in Chinese) Yay! OMG, this evening, we had delivery. We ordered vermicelli, pad thai, ginger beef — best ginger beef ever, hands down. Crispy, not over-floured. Decent amount of sauce; not too much, which is a bonus for me. We didn’t order green onion cakes, but it appeared to be complimentary.(Okay, okay, you have us swooning with delight! Great food! Great service!) Another bonus is that the owner(who brings food to your table) is genuinely sincere. She’s funny too; kind of made fun how my Chinese had a bit of an accent, like my mom would. A casual chit chat revealed that the owner was actually originally from Thailand. How would I rate this restaurant? Fresh home-cooked meals, like my mom’s, served in a typical Southeast Asian hawker style or canteen setting. Perfectly spiced. Delivery service is prompt. Decently priced. Did I mention that we’re in love with this place?

This new restaurant is where Big Macs were previously served at the recently closed McDonalds. It’s now is an Asian Fusion that serves mainly Western Chinese and some Thai dishes. We started out with some garlic dry ribs which were meaty and crispy with just the right amount of seasoning and not too salty. Soon after the Chicken and Beef Satay Vietnamese subs came. The bread was fresh and soft and the flavour of the meat was tasty. They had the shredded carrot and cucumber to complete the sandwich nicely. Next came the soup which would have been nice to have with the sandwiches. The soup had many vegetables like broccoli, string beans and even cauliflower but was missing what I would consider the most important ingredient which is mushrooms. With no meat I think mushrooms would have saved the dish. It was on the bland side where no lemongrass or ginger were to be found. The service was friendly and reasonably quick. I would try some other dishes but I would have to pass on Tom Yum soup next time.
