Established in 1996.

IBM’s Deep Blue computer defeated chess champion Gary Kasparov, the first time a machine took a man to task and won.

The world’s first web based email service, named Hotmail, was launched on America’s Independence Day.

The world economy was alight with growth for the developed world, as we basked in technological optimism.

This was also the year that Emergence by Design was created, driven by the principles of friendliness, reliability, stability in our solutions and ease of use for our clients.

Furthermore, we have enjoyed our many years building and supporting custom solutions, and we draw on that history in everything we do. We’ve watched shiny tech fads come and go, and we’ve stayed true to our principles as we’ve stayed steadfast to our clients’ needs.

It was decades ago that we began forging strong partnerships with other web service providers, enabling our clients to have form and function in their system.

Meet the Business Owner

David B.

Business Owner

David is a dynamo of activity and enthusiasm possessing the unusual combination of technical expertise and communication skills. His ability to understand technology, issues and methodologies as well as the client’s business requirements provide him with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-​technical people.

David’s interest in computers began early in high school when he and a friend spent an entire summer designing and implementing a suite of programs to manage the book circulation of the high school library. The system worked so well that the two high school students entered into a marketing agreement with an educational software re-​seller.

Since forming Emergence by Design in 1996, David has been actively involved in establishing, focusing and growing this company.
